I'm normally the same way, but the custom will do until we get real Gordon. That guy agreed to make one for me, so I sent him the parts needed today!
Check out his Martian Manhunter!

I'm really tempted to get him to make me a Martian Manhunter, but I have a feeling there is 4+ figures need for that to happen. Mattel has to make one soon right?

I went into Walmart today. All they had was Powergirl
I don't know if I would expect one soon or not. He's the major remaining member of the JLA as well as one of the few remaining, major Super Powers toys that hasn't been revisited. By holding out on him, they are keeping some people interested in the line that might be done with it once he is released. But he sure seems inevitable.
I was able to snag one of the $10 Deadman variants from CSC

Deadman killed CSC's server. I guess now they realize how stupid making a 'priority pre-order' at a specific time is. They couldn't take it!

I think we'll see a J'onn sooner than later. I will be very irked if they put out the remaining craptacular Super Powers figs before Manhunter. And J'onn deserves a phasing variant done just as well as Deadman.
Like I was suggesting before, it makes some sense to hold out on a few of the more popular characters so that others who otherwise wouldn't pay attention will maintain interest and keep buying stuff. Release Manhunter now, and others who might be Super Powers version of Orion or whatever might not buy.
If they do a variant of J'onn, I would expect that stupid looking "modern" update that was eventually "killed." Though personally, I would like to see him with "Martian" head. A switch out head would be preferable to a variant, though.
Craptacular you say? We still have classic DG Robin, Samurai, and Plastic Man even if you dont care for Tyr, Golden Pharoah, SP Kalibak. There's a great mix of wide appeal characters that can be mixed in with or before MM.

Let me clarify by saying the craptacular SP characters that were made up for the line. I too would like to see Grayson Robin and Plas, but MM is the final character to complete the 'heavy seven' of the original JLA, and I would like him before the other two.
Clearly you don't know Mattel very well.

So angry right now. Crappy couple of days, same $%^&# at work all day, all this time looking forward to having my wave 11 tonite. I get home from work and nothing. Tracking info still says "out for delivery" I've never had UPS deliver after 5 before. Website says they typically deliver between 9 AM and 7 PM... 
EDIT: My patience was finally rewarded!!! They are fantastic. Even love the sheer goofiness of the Shark! Huzzah!!!!
