Yup, Bruce has been jumping around the timestream trying to get home. Red Robin's new ongoing is focusing on Tim's quest to find Bruce while everyone thinks he a looney. Anyway here are some sketches by Andy Kubert of Bruce's adaptation through different era's in time. Here's hi pirate costume

and here is Bruce as a caveman

I know some of this sounds kinda cheesy but as long as Bruce comes back I don't really care at this point

Wait, what the heck? What is going on?

By the look of these goddamned costume, we can be certain that the DC Comics ppl are surely looney people

The whole thing in the Superman books is just beyond crazy right now, what with New Krypton just being the real bottled city of Kandor that somehow used adapted Braniac technology to keep themselves shielded from the whole exploding of Krypton. Which Superman found in Braniac's ship who he actually just fought for the first time since the other braniac robots and what not was never actually him. And he released them and then they use super science to turn a city into a whole planet that now is in place behind Earth's Sun and they took one of Jupiter's Moon's as thier own, again using Super Science. And I could go on and on about the crazyness that is Superman right now, sure Batman is lost in time which sounds like a bad movie, but at least its simple enough that everyone things he's dead.

It's crap like this that finds me picking up more and more Marvel books.

Oh well. At least there's Vertigo. Although, I am anxious to here about the new Batman and Superman "Ultimate-ish" comics that are coming out next year.

DC's had so many Elseworlds and alternate universe mini-series, cross-overs, one shots, etc. that I can't possibly understand a need for an "Ultimates-type" version. They've already done that ad nauseum.

Wasn't the All-Star book by Frank Miller the "Ultimates" version of Bats? Y'know where he ate rats and beat up on Robin. Ugh, I think I lasted three issue with that rag.

Tell me that you're joking and that Batman didn't actually do that...

No joke, All-Star Batman is alleged by many as one of the worst depictions of Bats since Adam West.

And they ARE doing an Ultimates-type deal with Batman: Earth One. That has me interested, as does Joe Staczynski(sp?) writing the Superman: Earth One.

I know most don't care for the concentrated crazy that is Grant Morrison, but I like it 'cus it's different. Although I did laugh when I saw the above designs. "Legends of Batman!" Kenner(Hasbro) could sue!

Dude I LOATH Grant Morrisons writing and it sucks cause he seems to be the "head writer" in the batverse right now. Ugh. Really Morrison?? a facken flying Batmobile? :yuck

I like some of Morrison's wacky stuff from the 90s like the Invisibles. But he always did seem a strange choice to take over a mainstream DC comic to me. I mean, Neil Gaiman is a brilliant writer no doubt, but you don't let him take over the Uncanny X-Men or something.

Diff'rent strokes, I suppose. I like Morrison because he's a little wacky, and when you get right down to it, a 'flying batmobile' is no sillier than a man running around in tights dressed like a bat. It's all just a matter of degree.

Anyone picking up the wave 11 boxed set today?

If BBTS doesn't say my order has shipped by noon, I'm gonna battle the dreaded 'red screen of doom.'

It shouldn't be too bad ordering today. I just ordered the Green Arrow and had no problems whatsoever.

Stuck with BBTS myself. I really dont care for what Mattel is doing right now. Sticking it to the online guys that kept the line afloat from series 2-8 while (sans 5) while the big boxes were scared about the lead issue is just friggin W R O N G!!! This is setting up a situation where Mattel manufactures, distributes, and sells all the product! Nothing fair about that at all. I understand why folks would go to them, but in turn, the online guys are going to loose customers and be left holding all this product because Mattel didnt get them their orders before Mattel started selling the product themselves...at a cheaper price no less???? This in turn will drive those guys to order less and ultimately make the collector beholden to Matty for the product...and we all know how that's gone. I just hope the online stores can hold on and continue to be, inspite of Mattel's blunders, the most reliable source for this line. That said, I held out about 2hrs and got my order fullfilment from BBTS.

Anyone know why Mattel punted their leftover JLU and DCU 2paks? "Gone for good" WTF does that mean? Do you think they sold them to like BigLots or something?

Wow, almost no fuss ordering wave 11 and a set of the flight stands. I can't wait for these to get here!!!

I kinda expected the sales from theses boxed sets to be this smooth. Still debating on whether to buy this set or not:confused: I only like Steppenwolf (green), Cyborg Superman, Question, and Deadman from the set. Don't care much for the others or Killowog.

I actually like the opposites....maybe we can strike a deal. I ordered the set from Matty, which is slated to arrive on January 4th. I was going to try to sell/trade Cyborg Superman, Steppenwolf (probably both, after taking a Kilowog piece out of at least one of them of course), Shark, and I'm still debating if I want to keep Question or not.

I hope UPS readjusts the delivery date, as mine says the fourth too. And if anybody's trying to get rid of Steppenwolves, you should be happy to know that he doesn't come with any pieces, so if anyone's looking to pick him up he should be sealed.
