They are Valkyries.

From what I've been reading, (not really a spoiler, especially if you played the game)

they're hallucinations. Brought on by the drug. Which is called Valkyrie.

They were not exactly in the game, but I think there was a bit of dialogue about Valkyries.




There will be a "Gamer Dedicated" Cut DVD release.

Nice comic trailer, gives me more faith in this film. And at least the Director cares enough about the game to want to NOT cut it up for theaters or bow to the MPAA. Good on him.

I'm looking forward to it, as long as it is half as good as the game story was... I'll be happy.
 
trailer looks good..I remember Ludacris talking about this several months back when he was on set as I believe he plays the police chief...

Does anybody know the name of the band/song in the latest trailer now airing on TV? Not Marilyn Manson. He's does the song in Trailer #1. There's a second trailer with a different band and song.
 
saw this yesterday in a matinee and loved it. not sure why there is so much hate going around on the net, but IMO it was a great rendition of the game.
~~one of the most notable complaints about the film was how cheesy it was...if you played any of the games you'd understand where it was coming from.
 
Aside from Bond, a bloodless gun fight...is well....boring. Plus I wouldnt see it anyway. I'll never give 20th Century Fox any more of my money ever again.
 
Well, IMO too many directors try to use too much blood and that's supposed to make it "good". Gore does not = a good movie, but many people seem to think it does.
 
No, it doesnt...but it sure makes it 10 times more fun. Its not like Max Payne would've been a "good" movie anyway. Who's honestly going to see it for the story? If im going to see an action movie, and its full of shooting and gunplay, they better have some bloody squibs. Without it, it looks restricted, boring, and not interesting.
 
Alice, we may disagree(ed) a lot about the PG-13 Vs. R thing...but that kinda proved my point. Gun fighting just isnt that fun when its restricted.
 
I saw it yesterday, i agree this movie should have been rated R and i also think it needed more blood and gore.

lets just hope punisher wz lives up
