Luverly.

Hey guys, out of interest, how are the current Medicom bodies holding up to handling?

I gave up on Medicom a few years back - I was tired of buying a figure, and at the same time buying a couple of blank bodies to use as spare parts when a hip or shoulder inevitably snapped/crumbled.

I seem to think that since the release of their Han Solo figure they might have improved on the construction and materials, is that true?

People seem to be getting some pretty extreme poses out of Spidey, and although it screws with the suit, I haven't read any reports of busted limbs.

I guess the question is, aside from the ludicrous prices, are Medi's a safe bet quality wise these days?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Darth.

I don't really have much/any experience with older Medicom products, but I haven't had any body breakage with what I have so far (Naruto, Sasuke, Amazing Spiderman, RAH Naked 2 Body). Apart from Sasuke's weird ankle design, I think the anime style bodies are nice. The 'RAH Naked 2' body can get into some "extreme" poses, which is cool. Nice joints. Not too loose, or too tight.

Bodies look better fully clothed though. Too many bits & bobs showing all over the place.

I recently got the medicom amazing spider-man.

For the pics I saw I liked the silouhette so decided to give this a go.

Of course out of the box he was way too clean and shiny.

I applied several wash of black to toned down the colour and to make him look weathered a bit more like he was in the movie.

I don't know if i should do the shredding on the torso though.

Outstanding job brother, looks 1000X better.

That actually looks pretty awesome Seb. One thing I def like about the medi more is the eyes.

Hmm, might have to consider this now.

How's the body and the fit/tailoring of the suit?

Awesome work Seb, he looked a little too toyish, I think the weathering brings out a nice look. :clap

wow very nice,:clap:clap makes the fig stand out so much more.

Those pics are amazing. And they make that figure look better than any other pic I've. But I'm still not seeing a $250 figure there. And I feel the same about the HT ASM. Its the first Marvel and DC HT figure I haven't PO'd in almost 3 years. Maybe its the character and not either figure??
