Received my Medi Spidey.
Unless there's major changes to Hot Toys version, I'm gonna stick to this guy. The headsculpt is far more accurate on this version than HT.
Love the reflective grated gold eyes, very much accurate to the movie.

The good: As a static, standing figure, it looks great!!! The proportions of the body, the headsculpt, the suit...The medicom looks Awesome!
I want to add also that if you have him under led lighting, it looks great under a little bit of shadows...reason being is that the suit and head looks seamless. Very much like the nightscenes in the movie.

The bad: only looks great when standing, any poses and you start to see the unsightly wrinkles on the suit. Just doesnt look good to me, very distracting.
As mentioned under good, keep it under shadows avoiding very well lit lighting, you do see more of the separation of head and body under very bright lights...I'm referring to the color and texture. But keep it just a tad under the shadows and the head and suit looks seamless.
Very happy with this guy.

I'm still keeping my pre-order on HT version just in case it was tweaked drastically. But Unless HT does major changes to the suit and head, I prefer this Medicom over what HT has shown so far.

Thanks man. Agreed, very underrated.
I'm liking this figure much more than I anticipated...Its actually a cool, fun looking figure.
Really love the reflective eyes.

... great pictures.. but ll i can hear in my head... is..
Latex man, latex man. does whatever a dominatrix can....
the rest is too dirty for pg forums. :lol

Really really dislike that costume design. BUT i Like cool photography :lol

So how is the new generation medicom bodies?

So it would look fantastic in the closet.:wave

I'm sorry not being a **** or anything, but all I got from your short review is that this figure looks great as long as you hide it.

Nah, i skipped it, but i'm a fan of 1/6th scale photography, and spider-main is generaly fairly photogenic, so I had to drop in. a more detailed version of what i was saying, is his rubber-looking outfit strikes me as a bad choice, both from a movie standpoint, and from a toy standpoint. It goes from looking strange, to just plain bad depending on the pose, unless he's just posed staick, in a standing position. To restricting a material in my opinion for this use.

I guess what I'm getting at is some things just don't translate well into 1/6th.

Great photo's Remy! I have said from day 1 that the mask is a great shape and the design and colour are impecable. The suit colour is impecable also. However, it just seems a little loose to me. The colouring is great and the body looks great, but the suit does seem a little "too big" to me.
The reflective lenses are something Hot Toys should take notice of. :lecture

There have been people dissing the Hot Toys version becuase of the price and lack of accessories, but this guy cause with less and is definietley higher priced. Seems like a great figure, but I couldn't justify spending that much money for so little. Congrats though, it does look awesome!

I decided to pick this guy up today from BBTS after seeing everyone's pictures. The figure looks solid, and a lot better than the HT protos we have seen thus far.

Plus this one is truly a limited edition collectible. 1500 vs X. I bet way more than 1500 people have already PO'd that ****ty (so far) HT figure.

How can you call it ****ty when you have not even seen the finished product. And anyway, the only thing better about the Medi version is the lenses IMHO! The costume looks a little too big for the figure. It seems a little loose. Spidey's costumes are skin tight! :lecture

First of all, congratulations on the great pick up.

The price tag is far, far too big for what you actually get. :lecture

Well, those "High quality photos" are of the prototype. I agree, the proto doesn't look great (still better than Medicom in MY opinion) but my biggest gripes are to do with the mask and the lenses for HT.

As far as the suit/body go, I firmly believe Hot Toys > Medicom ASM.

But that's just me. I am not looking for an argument.

could anyone help, i am in the uk and i am trying to order this from sideshow collectibles but for some reason when i click checkout it states that this is not available for my region anyone help?

Hang on fella, the reason you's be having trouble ordering this from SSC, is that it is not available from SSC.

You also posted this exact same message, that you are trying to order this figure, on the Hot Toys Amazing Spiderman thread.
