I'm nowhere as talented as some of the many artists on this board but I'm pleased with the mod. I was going after dirty, grimey, scarred Spidey and its hard to mess that up. The figure looks good out of the box, but I do prefer this look as it is closer to what you see through most of the movie. Thanks for watching guys.

Nice work on the full suit. Ate you making it all yourself or putting together a kit you bought? I had a black spidey suit for a while that I sold a couple years ago. Always wanted to get a red and blue one. Yours looks pretty spot on.

Why do you say that? I think it is apparent in this thread that many think it is better than the HT version

I think it looks incredible, but I also personally like the the HT too. I like them both but for different reasons for each. That's why I am like at the moment because I am undecided as to which one to get. I like the HT because I have a soft spot for them and I am generally exceptionally pleased with them as a company (delays aside) and the figure looks great with that AG head-sculpt. Plus, the suit looks like a much tighter fit.

I like the Medi because the texture and nature of the fabric used seem to be more in line with what's on the screen in the film. Also, the colours just seem to 'pop' a little more because of it. Plus this Medi body seems to give slightly more posing options. And it would be nice to add another Medi to my collection.

But I am having trouble seeing past the general bagginess of the suit and the way in which it gathers at the joints. Sadly, I think that the great texture and nature I mentioned earlier are working against it in this regard, which is a shame.

I like them both, and to me it's still literally down to a coin toss!

It is tough, especially because HT have not yet released the production piece. They may have tweaked it massively making it shine above the Medi, but my gut feeling tells me I will be disappointed with HT's offering.

Well, for me the whole reason why I didn't hesitate to go battle damage on this is because I'm also holding out to see the final pics of the hot toys one before pulling the trigger. I got my medicom used, for a little cheaper on the evil bay. After getting it and modding it though, I gotta say I'm kinda in love with it...not sure If I'll even spend the money on the HT one now...maybe I'll just get the AG head separately...it would go nice with my figure (if it fits) because it is also battle damaged.

So fragile that It was hard to mod the figure by taking off the outfits because the limbs would snap. How is it these days? I see Seb was able to take out the body and mod it the way he did with the Jim Lee Batman.

Does anyone know where I can get one cheaper than evil bay? How much are these going for? I've seen about $250. On Sidewhow's site the HT one is going for $204.
