Yeah, with Sideshow now in the armor game and Medicom's lack of weathering, Hasbro-ish (and single) blasters and $150+ price tag I'm out.

As for the Medi/SS debate, so far I'm more impressed with the Medi Phase II clones than with what I've seen of the Sideshow clone(s).

Do ya own any? I was worried about that, too, until I got some myself. It's definitely something that proper posing gets rid of.

The Medicom clones do not suffer from their usual under-sized issues (the Stormtroopers do, incidentally). And the Shock Trooper is indeed a nice piece (thanks to its weathering). But they are rather toyish in-hand and the guns are horridly cheap-looking.

Sure do. I have the pure white ROTS Medi-clone. He's up for sale if you want him. (Unless he's not the clone you're looking for )

I own several and I have to say, when you put them next to the armored Kenobi, who really isn't all that bad and considerably more durable than the RAH body, they really do lose all that luster. Then the $175+ price tag kicks you right in the balls. I'll pass and wait for Sideshow's or wait for StarWarsShop to discount them to sub $100.

I recently bought the Shadow Stormtrooper from SWS for USD$99.90 before shipping. SWS seems to be the place to pick up Medicom Troopers at discounted prices.

I am still waiting for SWS to drop the prices on the EPII Clone Commander and I will be looking out for the Clone Captain at SWS also.

From what I have been able to tell. It is either SWS or SS. But they bave not yet both had the same figure.

I may be wrong and I am sure there are others that I have missed. But I don't remember ever being able to chose between these two companies for a Medicom Star Wars figure.

Weren't these Clone Captains supposed to be limited to 250? I know the Clone Commander was 250 for Japan, 750 for the US. Perhaps the same counts for the Clone Captain figure?

Anyway, it would be nice if Medicom would at least improve the guns. It's their 3rd EPII clone after all...

I'll find out for myself today. Obi-wan arrives at the office at around 1 o'clock.

I am concerned about the soft plastic and possible subsequent degradation, though, of my Medi clones. Which shouldn't be a problem with at ABS stuff. Not as much, at any rate.

Can't wait to compare the two...

One would think that but $150 and change for the fig, $12 and change for sales tax and $8 and change for shipping.

Never buy RAH from main retailers and you won't have the over 150$ problem.
