Yes... Where's the Clone Commander!!! Ship it now! :D Can't wait to get a EPII Clone. The helmet design's much cooler than that of the EPIII Clones.

Yeah, I always like the EP II Helmet design more!
I went to starwarsshop.com n it says that its in stock but still on pre-order??? lets just hope it ships out soon.

I don't know, He's more limited than the Shockie.(and by the sounds of things ep2 style is a lot of peoples favorite design) I dunno if i'll wait that long even if he is.

Anyone have any advice to offer on the best way to weather these guys? I know that DA and Les have worked some magic on figures. How do you guys do it?

I recommend that you use pastels for weathering. You an get some amazing subtle weathering with them. Simply scrape some of the chalk off with an exacto knife or use coarse sandpaper and using a model brush, you pick up some of the powder and apply with either a stippling motion or simply brush it on, depending on the effect that you want. Then feather out the edges as well. Once done you can apply a spray-on fixative such as Dull-coat, to protect it from smudging. Keep in mind that the brush will get worn out pretty quick when picking up the powder from the sandpaper, so you may not wish to go with some expensive sable brushes here.

One final note. The pastels may not adhere well to glossy finishes so you may want to first spray the areas with the Dull-coat. This will allow the powder to "bite" and stay put.

Other weathering options available are "washes" (highly diluted paint allowed to run on the edges and recessed areas) and "dry-brushing" (with barely any paint left on the brush, touch on the upper areas. Usually used for highlighting.)

I use a combination of the above when working on my scale models.

Medicom needs to beat these guys up a little more.

Somewhere in the galaxy, a Rancor with a horrid case of diarrhea is awaiting the shipment of freshly released clones to freckle them up alla Medicom's notoriously bad weathering...

LOL - Too funny!

I know that Blackhole and I stand almost alone on our wanting the Shadow Stormtroopers. But I am still hoping that they can be done as some type of exclusive, someday (soon preferably).

You're aware that Medicom makes one, right? They're even on sale right now for $99!:

And they're PUNY!

:monkey3

True, but I don't really care about the size. They look awesome next to both of my Vaders. With that said though, I wonder if they'd stand up to a Hot Toys TrueType tune-up. I saw that done in a SSC Jedi Luke thread. Since their outfit is stretchable beneath the armor, theoretically, it could work and would bring them more into the correct scale. Anyone try this yet?

I don't think there's any way a HT body would fit in Medi Stormtrooper or Clone Trooper armor. I don't think these have been able to fit on a Dragon yet, which is still smaller than an HT Truetype. I'd go the Marmit route if you want to do that.

I have 6 of them that I got as a case on eBay for what came out to be 86.00 each...shipped.

But they ARE Medicom. And as much as I like them, they are fragile and I am hopingthat the SS Stormtrooper has better range-of-motion on their articulation.

I haven't been charged yet. I think SWS really handles the orders in order they where placed. Although my order summery doesn't say so, I still hope I get that free SW comic! Perhaps some of the first 350 cancelled, and I got up in line... who knows!

EDIT: just checked my mail, and the commander is on it's way!! Shipped on August 27th, estimated delivery: August 29th. How I wish SSC could be so fast...

I haven't recieved my notice yet. I hope it happens soon.

And I have not forgotten you on the comic book if I get 2.

Strangely enough, there is a note on my order saying:

Rebels and Imperials Miniatures 2-pack (1) (edit - this is touted as a "free gift")

If this turns out to be one of the Hasbro comic 2-packs. This will suckity suck, suck!

Edit 2 - Just checked my bank account. I have been charged, so it is all good!

We'll see. I've got one of the regular EII clones on order at DSC, and I'm thinking about trying to scrape up a twin for him on the 'Bay. (Adam only had the one.) If I find a 501st clone than I might decide to go for another.

Oh, and my Clone Commander just shipped. :banana He'll be here Monday.

This guy shipped. :chew And what's all this talk about the clones being small? So far they've been in scale with SS stuff.
