Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I've got the DX ordered and I'm still considering buying the medicom...just I've spent so much damn money the past couple of months. Paid 670euros on my last VISA and 700Euros the month before.:horror:eek:

Anyway I like Medicom's shinier appearance. The HT ones are terrible for collecting dust and whatever crap is in the air, they quickly lose their 'new' sheen. I fear the same for the DX.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Damn, you've lost them all?

You should have just kept them in it's respective boxes. You can mount the grapple gun like I did though. It's very easy. https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1809419&postcount=297

Yup, ive lost them all except the one that sits on my takara batmans belt. I love it because ill never lose that one unless I take it off. I think at one time i found em but then didnt put them in a box or anything and lost em again lol.

That looks really cool, did you use a twisty tie or something? I would love to have my batman set up like that with the grapple gun on his belt.

That looks really good.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I still think this figure captures Bale the best out of all others (including the new DX).

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I tend to agree, after reviewing some pics in this thread and comparing. Actually leaning towards getting one, even if I end up getting the DX too.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I submitted this question to a couple of owners, but I'll post it again because I found a good deal on a Medicom Dark Knight figure and I don't want to miss it. But, before I buy it, I'm trying to figure out the suit. Is it all rubber, or is it a "jumpsuit" with the armor strapped/ glued on? Also, is he fairly pose-able?

You won't regret it..yes the quality is lacking and doesn't match HT standards and the skin / chin area could benfit from a repaint but the accuracy in suit and headsculpt is there.

I gave mine a custom cape and repainted the belt and I love him .. sold my HT in fact.

I'll deffo get the DX too but I really love Medi's fig

They are extremely harsh pictures under very bright lighting...in hand this figure looks nothing like this. the shape of the cowl is near spot on

:lecture Exactly. Spot on down to the dimple in the cowl's forehead. I love the new DX and WILL GET IT...but really nothing compares to this in Bale likeness and accuracy IMO.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

The head in those pics Riko look pinched, lighting not withstanding, it just looks fabricated or manipulated somehow

Well the head is basically hollow rubber, so yea the head can be "pinched" as you say, but it can also be expanded with ease. I still love these pics from Jun...and UNMODDED!

Let me repost my pics as well

They are, my figure head was not squashed in like that. You can also see it's pushed in below where the human ears would be.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

That head looks like it experienced a badly executed mod. Looks crushed! Out of box it looks nothing like that

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

Exactly. My fig out of the box looks spectacular. I even think the paint is pretty good too. Of course a few mods can make this figure out of this world.

Im pretty sure that it is mostly rubber. None of the parts are not removable I think.

His upper body is pretty posable. The problem are his legs. They dont really move too well at all.

Re: Medicom Dark Knight Batman - Photo Thread

I don't see what Riko sees wrong here. The legs look perfect there as you can see in the stock photos. His legs are beefy. The proper boots make all the difference. I'm no fanboy though. I'll criticize my figures if I have to. As none of them are 100% spot on. That does look 97.9% accurate.

I'm glad I got two spare HT TDK stands though. One for this Medicom and one for the Takara Batman Begins Spelunking mode. These stands add that finishing touch.

Medicom's clear stand is awful! Just awful!

You know on films, generally action films where some one says "Shoot first, ask questions later..."

Well "Buy first, ask questions later!" :lol

I haven't read up on any poseability problems, for what it's worth.
