thanks platty! if anyone noticed i cut up the chest plate, but did a terrible job... now i'm just looking to upgrade to the DX or MMS chest and shoulder armor..

Honestly this MMS71 chest plate is terrible

If you can get a DX then great otherwise leave it alone

Worst case u wait till HT puts out a TDKR Batman and use that chest piece (or maybe you will want to sell this one then depending on how that turns out) :lol

TBH i dont think its that much of a difference, but i've never owned either so i can't be too sure.

Yeah I almost agree. Its the eyes on the DX that I dunno, look kinda silly. Ive seen him in other pics that make him look bad ass. I dont have either so I dont know for sure. But it would almost seem that the V1 would be an all around better buy anyway with the QC issues the DX had. I mean regardless of being able to wipe off the oil on the stomach, even if it only pops up every once in a while , wont it deteriorate the figure?

It's all gonna be moot next yr anyway as the TDKR Hot Toys figure is sure to be the best one HT has done

No, you don't need it. You should have went further with it. The DX chest is still quite buff.

You should have cut out the kevlar pecks. Smoothed the cutting with fairly super fine wet and dry. Get some matt black acrylic. Some putty... sculpt/shape new pecks. Get some kevlar decals. Some matte clear acrylic. Put the shoulder plates in boiling water. Curve them more. Black thread the shoulder pads to the arms for articulation.

No it's not. There never is a best one. Only a best one for a time. The next one will always be better. Some collectors don't seem to learn. Some age worse than others. If it's anything to go by in life, some things advance greatly than others.

Oh I know - just saying why spend so much money on overvalued parts from the existing HT TDK DX when you know they will put out another within 12 months, likely better and you can get it at retail

Of course, there's every chance even that will get bettered by a subsequent release

And nam: if the next version of this suit leaks again... Then well :dunno
