There a re a few opinions regarding the hands being too big. Someone please help me out as I have Maul ordered and don't want him if his hands are too big. But when I saw him at CC...I certainly did not see that. Are there pics of this?

Pics are distorting, go by what you saw in person. People made the hand comments based on pictures where the whole figure looks entirely skewed in scale by the camera, if he looked right to you at the con, get him, that's the product you'll receive.

Hey,I thought that was pretty creative.Oh, and Temmu could be chick:monkey5 "huh",thank's for that pointing out:rolleyes:

Just kidding Temmu.

Yes,I am a Dude and certainly not gay.Its just, me and Chavez can see whats a better looking Darth Maul! MEDICOM :lol

The only thing I really like better about the clothes on this one is that hood is tailored exactly like it should be. Just a lot bigger and wider.

What I like most, and is definitely an area where I was a little let down with Sideshow's, is the hood on the robe. The hood should really come down in the back when it's on his head, and Medicom's looks like it should achieve the proper look.

I didn't feel like reading all of this bickering thread, but in some shots the belt on this one looks plastic. Anyone know if thats the case... I've often wondered why Sideshow choses high quality materials for clothing but goes plastic with some belts (Ghost Rider,Wolverine and FMA Edward)?!?

I would guess Maul's belt is plastic since every Medi figure I've seen has plastic belts. It is strange that they'll go for nicer materials on outfits and skimp on things like belts, but then again, they also skimp on accessories which seems odd as well. Should still be a nice figure, and a plastic belt done right can be fine.

Sometimes I wish the Sideshow belts were rubber. Sometimes the belts you get are so dang delicate and break so easily (my Yavin Luke's belt just broke after my 30th attempt to get the dang thing to buckle-which it never did). :cuss

I agree with you there Pix. I think it depends on the style of the belt. For example, the simple belts that Jack Sparrow wears are easily done with real leather with no concern for breakage. Most Star Wars belts are highly intricate, especially the Jedi, and I think the fragile part would be removed going plastic. I think characters like Han Solo should be leather though, that way when you have to wrap elements around legs and things, the leather has a little give to it that plastic/rubber wouldn't.

I just couldn't justify buying a second figure of Maul for 3X the price. He looks nice... but just not enough to drop the cash.

I think another reason it's still up for sale at Sideshow is other online retailer are selling him at a bit cheaper rate. So I am sure that is also not helping Sideshow's sale's of this figure.
