Went home for lunch today(at a odd time-7th period....I'm a substitute teacher in a NYC public Junior high) just as I reached my block I saw the mail truck, was able to sign for the package. Only looked quickly but it seems to be in good condition can't wait to go back home and open him up.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered this guy from Amazon. Couldn't help but notice that sellers offering him at the $185 shipped price point have dried up, so any snoozers out there may be loozers. :wink1:

So while I wait for my slow boat from China, swapping bodies seems like a must. Anyone know if the head connection is similar to previous Medicom figures? I wanna know if I can rely on a BBI neck to attach it to a Hot Toys TT body.

I also just ordered the UU Han Solo off of Amazon. JonEL what did you use to get the light up light saber function with the Hot Toys Luke?

Bought it from another member here he makes runs every so often

I finally received my Sideshow ESB jacket and shirt. I think the Enterbay shirt is a lot better so I'm definitely going to use that. However, how on earth do I make it white? I assume I need to bleach it but I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction of what to use. I know it's possible because there's some pics earlier in the thread showing a custom Han which has the Enterbay shirt white.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Chris

Hey Chris my man, first I'd try regular ol' bleach. If that does not work then you can try RIT color remover. I think you can get it at most Michaels type places but if all else fails it's a couple bucks on Amazon.

I saw another guy got it white so you should have no problem. I agree white is the way to go but sometimes it actually did look off-white in scenes in cloud city in ESB. I think it should be white but i left mine as is because i like to go back and fourth between ESB and ROTJ.

Hey Ray,

I'm having a bit more luck now after several treatments with bleach / hot water. After the first couple, it went ORANGE! However, I'm on the 5th treatment and it's getting much lighter now. I agree that it's slightly off-white and I'm hoping to achieve something really close to that.

I'll post some pics when it's finally done.

Cheers,

Chris

Here's my ESB Han. Thanks to everyone who has given me advice and tips on how to do this. I'm really pleased with the results.

This figure uses TT Narrow lower body (with ankle extenders) and the TT Slim upper body. I had to take the neck insert out of the Enterbay head so it would fit onto the TT neck post.

I bleached the Enterbay shirt and it's a nice off-white color now (I was going to use the Sideshow shirt but the Enterbay one is better quality and more accurately tailored). I water treated the Sideshow Bespin jacket so it hangs a bit better on the body and used the Sideshow gunbelt and holster. I just need to get the other ESB Blaster out of my Hot Toys Luke box so Han can have the correct style of Blaster in his holster (The Enterbay Blaster is the ANH version).

That looks fantastic! Still not into the hair but overall a Han worth having. Ill grab him down the line sometime.

I'm not really into Frankensteining expensive bodies like everyone does around here. What do you guys do with the extra parts? I bet they sit around for a while before you find something to do with them, huh? The slim is too much money to just use the top half....

My thoughts exactly.

Chris that looks fantastic!! I think you sold me on trying this combination with the body, it feels a little less lanky than mine, I will probably do it soon. Shirt also turned out great!

I have no problem Frankensteining bodies because i do so much custom work that the parts always, always get used in some form or another down the line!

Thanks for the great comments guys. Glad you like it. :)

Initially, I used the lower body from the Regular TT but after looking at pics of Ford in costume from ESB, he was still pretty thin (especially his legs) so I chose to use the lower body from the Narrow TT instead because they're a bit thinner. With the ankle extenders the overall height ended up at 12 inches tall which is perfect for a 1/6 Ford.

Yes, the Sideshow jacket looks excellent after the water treatment to improve the collar shape and drape on the body. It should be a bit longer to be perfect, but it doesn't bother me that much.

This is one of the best looking Han figures I've seen PERIOD! I just ordered the Enterbay Han specifically to try resurrecting Sideshow's ESB figure by creating a similar mash-up, but your results look better than what I imagined. Really nice work!

Was attaching the Enterbay head to the TT neck simply a matter of removing this insert? Is it like a short rubbery tube section glued inside the head?
