I'm a little confused - how is this figure different from the plain white trooper that came before?

The Sideshow fans are just enjoying being on the other side of this batle for once. Let them enjoy their day.

I am so glad I didn't order this. I seriously considered it because SS was taking a loooooong time with their armored figures but Obi just flipped that whole thing on its ear. Glad I passed on this. Glad I passed on the Shockie. Glad I passed on the Jango. Glad I passed on the Boba. Glad I sold the Stormie.

If I could sell my custom Medi ANH styled Vader everything would be perfect!

The era of Medi armored worship has a serious competitor...

I love medicom but this just don't hold a candle to todays news.

(plus it's plain white not for me,i will buy the arc though)

I guess Medicom will just have to step up there game.

Ok, so I'm confused by all the double talk in here. Do people actually like this one or not? Or do people prefer the older Medicom trooper over the new SS SW trooper??

Well, considering that the faults of Medicom's figures have been consistently their style for a long time as far as I can tell, I don't think they're going to change anything. As some have said, they have their market they cater too and if they succeed as is with that market, they won't perceive a need to change anything. Hot Toys and Sideshow, although on separate parts of the world, have the same market I think so there's more going there, but they're collaborating too, so it's a win win scenario for collectors of their caliber and the particular properties they choose to make figures of.

I meant more on the lines of more/different characters, not changing there formula.
