Medicom EP2 Clone Pre-Order is Up

Sorry, but I don't know all the SW acronyms, what is ARC? Everyone seems to want one or make one.

Advanced Recon Commandos (ARC). They debuted in the original Animated Clone Wars and in the CW comics. Identifiable by their Fett-like helmet rangefinders, shoulder pauldrons and "skirts":

And while I do have one of these EP2 Mediclones on order, I will not hesitate to cancel if they indeed failed to include the proper gun and cheapened out.

And weren't they trained personally by Jango? I remember something about them being more intellectually independent too, but that might just be on account of the fact that he taught them how to think.

Thatnks Irish. But it looks like the animated ARC has a short rifle and the cool picture below that one(I'm guessing from a cmoic cover) ha a long rifle. Which one is accurate? The long or the short? And is that why people are getting pissed at Medicom? Other than crappy soft armor.

The AOTC Clone Troopers did not have the small blaster rifles that the clones in ROTS have. They had the much larger DC-15:

People are pissed, because Medicom has apparently cheaped out. Instead of producing a new ACCURATE blaster for this clone all they have done is throw the different helmet on there. I hope they listen to the complaints and rectify this before they ship.

Thanks for that. Yeah, I can see people getting pissed if they aren't even going to try to be accurate.

Medicom did a fantastic job on the sculpting of the helmet, and their recycled armor is nicely made. But really, to not have the correct gun is just odd to me. That is like making a ROTS Obi with the AOTC saber hilt. We all know it's different, so why forget it?

Hopefully they will fix it in the end.

probably just waiting for lucas to make up his mind. wont surprise me if the special 50th edition all the clones will be different and use different weapons.

I don't really mind the soft armor, I know it will pale in comparrison to the ABS plastis SSC is using, but the Medi armor it really easy to take off, which makes painting reasonably easier. And the ROTS Clones in particular, needed painting! That just my opinion though.

I seriously doubt they'll change the rifle. These seem like they were just a quicky with a new head and little more. I see these guys hitting the $100 mark soon, which they are better suited for anyway as they are rehashes with new heads and nothing more. I remember when the ROTS Clones were that cheap or right around there. Demand seems to have outweighed the supply though as time goes on. I still think a couple of these paired with General Kenobi would make a killer display, different companies and all.

Looks nice, but Medicom should make OT stuff. Not that I buy any of it either way, but the OT has much more interesting characters.

On another note, I still don't know why/how hard plastic is any better than soft plastic. Who cares?

They should REALLY make an AOTC or ROTS Yoda. Even with limited articulation that be awesome! I really need to track down on of the Hasbro ones.
