Incredible work Mindbook, as usual. Are you talking the Dragon Neo3 for the figure. Just wanted to make sure, cause I might buy one and do that.

THANKS PEOPLE!
No, it's not dragon....It was made by Volks, I bought my Volks Neo-Guy figure at their store in los Angeles, I think it was $30.

The Neo-Guy figures are pretty close to the scale of the Medicom figures, just more volume, they fill out the clothes, but they are not bursting out of them. As mentioned, you need to cut down the ankle a little bit to replace the feet with the Medicom ones. The Medicom feet have better articulation, but the Neo-Guy figure has better body articulation....Best of both worlds.

As for the repaint....Most of the original paint is still there, I just re-painted the eyes and added color to his face. Furthermore everything(clothing) on the figure is original Medicom, except for the tie, belt and pants...The original pants are on another Indy I'm making(KOTCS) I was too lazy to switch them back when I took the photo. The original pants fit perfect on this figure, no problem....I'll try to take more photos at some point.

Nice job! I figured the clothes would fit on a larger body. They're fairly loose on Indy.

I have a Medicom massive body on the way. I'll let you know how it works out.

Now THAT is a figure worthy of Medicom's price point, although some of the accessories still look too toy-like. I'd love to see what the whip looks like with a good repaint.

Your pics here and on RS are what conivinced too picl up the Medicom Indy. Well that and getting him for $106.00. Intitially I was going to pass on it
I thought the Hat wasn't that great and it looked too thin but it looks much better than in the proto pics . My only gripe is the color of the whip. The color makes it look like braided poop! Otherwise I think its pretty solid. I do like how Medicom also made this to encompas all 3 films whith the accesories .I do wish though he came with the machete he used in Temple of Doom.

I'm defiantly still down for the SSC figure though . Its a gift from my wife and the figure is exclusive to Raiders which is my Favorite of the 3 films. I love the accesories it comes with is well. I do up we see it this month.

Hey, I am glad you like him...and also glad I am not the only one. I agree about the whip, it is definitely the weakest part of the figure. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but it didn't come out all that good. Heck, the Relic Hunter whip looks better despite being bigger...at least it is leather, the proper color, and can be displayed in action as well as coiled.

Very nice reworking, mindbook. Looks a ton better. I still can't stand the Medi Something about Mary hair sculpt though.

You took some great pics Billy Ray! I only own the vintage Kenner 12in figure , I don't have the Toys Mcoy or Relic hunter so I don't have much to compare the Medicom too.

This will serve as a nice destraction for me until the SSC version arrives . Then I'll be displaying all 3 next to each other .

If you replace the Medicom Body for a Neo-Guy figure, and a little repaint on the face, the figure is not bad. The Neo-Guy figure is pretty much a Medicom figure on steroids, but better articulation IMO, except for the ankles, but you can fix this easy by sawing off 1/4" or more, then the Medicom feet fit in there perfectly. The head can be mounted by making a small incision with an X-acto under the head cavity, then you can attach it to the Neo-Guy neck. As for the hands, you can use any variety of Hot Toy hands...THEY FIT!

Mindbook, your skills are amazing!!! The best Indiana Jones figure I have ever seen.

It's good to know that not everyone has an aversion to this figure. The longer I have it, the more I love it.

Wow! That Medi Indy custom looks awesome Mindbook!
I've always wondered if the paintjob was ruining the sculpt and i guess I was right. Will defo have it painted when i get indy

Got Medicom Indy today. Overall very happy with it . Good detail, alot of acessories considering that this is Medicom, good headscupt and packaging is pretty cool.

Gripes , its a bit on the thin side, the color of the whip looks like ^^^^, this was made to encompas the first 3 films which is pretty cool , I just wish they would have included the machete from TOD and maybe the Machine and tie he wore in the LC.

I'll give this an 8 out of 10.

Very excited I'll have Raiders Indy in about 3 weeks. Raiders is my favorite film of the trilogy.
