Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Figure came apart rather easily. The boots have a peg. The neck popped out a little too easily. Cape just slides over neck post. Belt has a peg at the back. Suit required a little bit of work to get off. I was surprised Bats had underwear. Probably to hide some of hip joints. The body is a little funky. There is a chest sculpted rubber covering the chest portion of the body. I first tried putting the suit on a KP02, but it was a ***** to try and get over the thighs. In the second pic it's on the TTM19. I liked how it looks on that body with the exception of the arms. The original body has thick arms and the suit is stretched to those dimensions. To be honest it looks just fine on the original body. My only real issue is that the waist should be just a tad bit thicker. The TTM19 waist looks better. The legs aren't as thin as they appear in pics. I think the boots are just too long making them look thin. I don't like the velcro on the suit. The cape isn't bad medicom just put wire all through the cape, so if you don't futz with it it looks puffy. I'm going to put it back together with the original body. For those that are going to try and change the body careful with the suit because the stitching won't take a lot of pulling and tugging. Pull out the hands from the base. If you look at my pic you'll see the blue peg. That was suppose to come out with the hand.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Looks really nice on the TTM body. I've always thought the super-buff Batman is too exaggerated. After all, he's supposed to be a playboy millionaire... I feel Batman should be fit, but not really bodybuilder massive. However, since this is a comic version...
And I can see how it would be dangerous to try to make the suit fit on the KP body.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Glad I saw this- I have a KP02 put on the side for the swap out.
As for bulkiness. I really like the way Bats looked in the 90s WB cartoon, and in the Dark Knight return comics, so the size would be a plus for me.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I would have left it on the TTM19 body if it wasn't for those arms. This isn't the kind of material that returns to it's original state. It's the kind of material that if stretched for too long it stays that way. I would have loved to have made it fit on that KP body, but I wasn't ready to gamble that much on the suit. I actually don't think this body captures Lee's Bats at all. The top portion is good, but from the waist down it's too lean. He's got no ass.:rotfl The head sculpt is fantastic, but the head is a ***** to pop in with the cape. I was so traumatized I'm afraid to move it to much for fear of trying to pop it back in:(
I'm neither for nor against Medicom. I only own one other figure from them the Rocketeer and I like it with the exception of the weird wrist joints it had. Nothing wrong with them just weird.
I'm not a Lee fan. I sometimes buy stuff because it attracts me (like bug to light:monkey3). This was one of those times.
I also got the Joker which I thought I was going to hate. Turns out I like him better than Bats. I still don't like the sculpt, but that has a lot to do with the source material. I love the lankiness of the body. Really fitting for the character. I'm going to need the supplied stand 'cause he can't stand for ****.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

You know I think I read that somewhere on here, but don't know if I want to go to that extreme. I'm still tempted to get this on a KP body, but not just yet.

I got Joker to stand on his own:yess:.
I wish the jaw was articulated because that open mouth only works for so long.
It really doesn't convey maniacal. More of, "Hey, Joker why's your mouth open?" as he slowly closes his mouth embarrassingly.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

After *****ing about not being able to get him to stand. And the material makes it look like he's got bendy arms. Better futzing eliminates that.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I got mine apart...then put it back together. That plastic, or whatever it is, suit is going to rip with my luck. I was hoping it was a cloth material.
I'll leave this as is and check out the Sideshow version when that put that up for preorder (I'm thinking in a week or so.)
And actually this looks better in hand. I'm not that bothered by the per portions as I was in the pics posted.

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

I really like that Medicom body for Batman. Very comic styled. I think to put it on a Hot Toys body kind of ruins the point of getting a comic book Batman.'

As for the Joker he looked that stupid in the Hush comic so Medicom actually did an incredible job capturing it. Looks like he came straight out of that panel. Still not sure what Jim Lee was thinking when he did that part.

Joker looks really nice. Nice suit and body anatomy for him. Head sculpt is very accurate too. Looks like both figures turned out great. Hope the line doesn't stop here we really need a 1/6 comic Catwoman.

Heated Jokers mouth with a hair drier and held is closed with for a minute or so until it cooled off, it really looks cool with his mouth not opened so wide.. but either way I love his look!

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Would be interested in some pics of that Joker, if possible.

The velcro on Bats was an idea that in theory seemed like a good one, but it limits how you pose the cape.

:goodpost: Totally agree with you on this Monger. I just received mine last night, but got to finally posing it a few minutes ago. The paint job on the headsculpt, gloves, and boots are pretty amazing...I just went back to the HUSH comics to refresh my memory and was pleasantly surprised that they even got the bottom of Batman's boots accurately, bottom soles and everything! The only other Medicom figure I own is the Rocketeer as well, but IMO I think they captured Jim Lee's Batman 110%. His suit feels like its made of party balloon material...I'm afraid a finger nail can rip this thing if tugged incorrectly.

I fell in love with the pose they gave him for the marketing pictures so i decided to pose him in that way as well...not perfect, but it will do...also, the cape is growing on me...love the material and texture!

Wow this looks fantastic :clap Best pics I've seen so far. This looks like a terrific figure. We were all mocking it prior to release, but it turned out excellent :D

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Really nice photos, Paiji!

I'm one if the few who never hated on this figure, it's a rough gem, I always felt. I'm on th edge of pulling the trigger on this, but part of me wants to wait until I might be able to get it cheaper (which I predict will happen).

Re: Medicom Jim Lee RAH Batman and Joker Hush set

Cheaper than $127.45? You waiting for $79.99 like the Joker? :lol

$79.99 for Batman would be sweeeeeeeeet :D

If I had some spare cash, I'd want to get me that $127.45 Batman, so I can maybe do what I did with my Medicom Spidey, & go crazy with one figure, while keeping the other mint :D

Seeing such discounted prices so early on (so early that I haven't even got my pre order from BBTS yet), can kinda give the idea that these are the first & last 2 figures of this line.

I think it also shows what these figures really cost to make... I can only imagine what Hot Toys, Enterbay and Medicom pay in licensing fees to create a Spiderman or Batman figure.. hence the step figure cost... I'd have to think the comic character license is much less than the film one...Though from what I've seen the Med Spidey figure looks sweet!
