Which one is you guys favorite figure?

I'm leaning towards this one:

Can anyone post pics, opinions on which ones are the most video game accurate et.?

Thanks in advance...

The RAH Croc Cap (eye patch) Snake happens to be my favorite of the three original figures. But, basically, they're all same figure, except for different camos, and different face paint. It just depends on which one you like the most.

I prefer the Croc Cap too, I'm just missing the Tiger Stripe version and I don't know what I'm waiting for. Probably waiting for it to sell out and jump in price so i can kick my self.

I think they all come with the same basic outfit and accessories (though Croc Cap comes with extra rifle and hat, obviously). Don't think there are any major screen inaccuracies with the hair, skull face, or eyepatch, though I might not be ____ enough to notice the more minor details. The "Cold War" Snake is too orange, and I know that Croc Cap is too pale (haven't seen the others in person). It depends on which outfit, head, and accessories you want. I got Croc Cap b/c I thought it was the best look, but the paint job is sloppy and because it is Medicom, it feels cheap and fragile. Something to keep in mind.

Are these 1/6 scale figures usually "cheap and fragile," by Medicom? I mainly collect HT. Also, does the clothing feel like crap...?

Thanks in advance and thanks for the insight.

In my experience, yes. Certainly in relation to Hot Toys. It is like Medicom are stuck where they were 7 or 8 years ago (when they were awesome compared to the other stuff available), and have refused to evolve. They are slightly smaller than HT/Sideshow figures. They look like teenagers.

I wouldn't say the clothing on Snake "feels like crap," though.

I recently got the Square Camo remake, and was anticipating this figure for years since the original release (that I could not afford).

Anyways I will say that I do love the joints of the medicom bodies, they really feel like they can hold a pose, and the clothing on them is quite nice. The belts and buckles IMO are much better than the GI Joe line.

But....the toys overall have a cheap light feel, and for me, the wrist joints broke after switching hands (right out of the box). I can say that I will pass on further Medicoms. I know people in the Star wars forums gave me crap, but yeah. Great Liscense, but I would have much rather spent my money on another figure. Hope this helps.

There are lots of Medi apologists out there, but I think I'm just being fair in saying that they can't stand up to Hot Toys figures (or Sideshow) in terms of quality or paint apps. I'm not irrationally hating on them. In fact, I'm an avid Kubrick collector, but even there, I can admit that Kubricks are not very durable. One little fall from the shelf, and say goodbye to that arm or leg and the peg connecting it to the body.

Truth is, you are just getting less for more money with Medicom's RAH line. Unfortunately, they do have licenses that Hot Toys doesn't have, so if you want a Snake figure, you go with them or you go without.

Yeah, the license is what sold me, and I will retcon myself because I forgot I am going to buy the tron daft Punk figures >_<

I have the cold war version..and i gotta say it is a real nice piece..don't like putting it next to my hot toys due to the scale however id recommend putting one next to your P1 Predator..it actually makes the predator look a little bigger.:lol

I will be getting squares and tiger stripe during the week to complete the set.:yess:

My only real complaint about the figure is the limited ankle articulation due to the long boot ..really screws up some poses that would look cool otherwise.

..also if you have some spare grenades from say a bank robber joker ..they look great on one of these.

V!c imo id say the tiger stripe looks the nicest ..if it had the eye patch it would be perfect:)

I totally agree with you. When I tried to change the hands I was surprised to find that the hands did not attach with a peg just a "rudder" of sorts and that the figure was about an inch or so smaller. But as a MGS fan, I love it. I really wish Hot toys would pick this license up.

Cool pic. I like the GRU soldier. Looks like Snake also practices good gun safety by keeping his finger off the trigger :lol

Haha, well I figured the goal of the game isn't to kill guys. Don't need to actually shoot a guy to scare the crap outta em, or pistol whip em either ;)

yeah, I just bought a Tiger Strip Snake and it does not compare to a Hot Toys figure, but I love MGS so therefore I love the figure. I'm trying desperately to find a 1/6 eye patch to complete the Big Boss look. Still looking.
