That gun rack is awesome! Where'd you get it?

Cool pic. I like the GRU soldier. Looks like Snake also practices good gun safety by keeping his finger off the trigger :lol
My figures always keep their finger on the trigga. :D

Wow, this thread is an eye-opener for me.. I am a huge MGS fan, but never thought of buying the Medicom RAH figures until my passion was rekindled by playing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

I inquired through my local retailer on prices of these, and I will be wary.. Thanks for this thread, I'm not looking to jump on eBay prices! They are ranging from US$170-US$300!!!! Absurd!!! :gah:

Big Boss: "So why did Play Arts make me 10" instead of 12"?!? I could've kicked my own ass!"

^I already own two of the RAH Medicom Snakes, but in my opinion, the Play Arts figure is on a league of its own. The entire look of that figure is so accurate, especially the head-sculpt. AND it's fully articulated. At only $50, you certainly can't go wrong. It sure beats having to shell out 200 bucks for an outdated RAH figure from Medicom.

Also, the Play Arts Kai figure has a limited production run. It was sold out in Japan in just a few weeks of its release, and it's being re-released in September for another limited run. You should get a pre-order in, if you're interested, before the price starts to increase.

I'm worried the RAH Snakes will look to 'toyish" next to the awesome HT pieces I have.

^Well, Medicom figures in general do look a little toyish. Would be nice to see what Medicom brings to the table now that they've teamed up with Enterbay.

I am so glad I am getting the zero version.
shipped already from goodshiped.

The play arts figure is a masterpiece but if you are a real mgs fan you must also own all the Medicom figures.

After I get tiger stripe all I will need is olive green old snake, cold war and raiden.

BOOOM ! all the major high-end collectible figures of Mgs will be mine.

^Congrats on getting the "Zero Version" figure! I would have gotten one myself, but man those prices on Ebay are expensive :horror. Can't wait for your review.

yeah, I wanted the zero suit Snake also. Worst thing is, I WAS at SDCC the 1st day, and by the time I got to SquareEnix booth, they told me they JUST sold out of the zero suit, which retails for $48. Now ebay prices are like $100. AND on top of that, I bought the regular sneaking suit from the SquarEnix booth, got a voucher to get it sign by Kojima on Saturday, only thing is that was the day that was SOLD OUT so I couldn't be there!! I was one mad guy that weekend.

"High-end" LOL. OK...

Oh, the criteria has been set: "but if you are a real mgs fan you must also own all the Medicom figures," to be a REAL fan. :rotfl

Ya .."High-end" ..whats wrong with that?:dunno ..its what they are.. this is not hasbro or neca we are talking about here..

^I know. Irregardless to the fact that Medicom's 12 inch products aren't as advanced as Hot Toys, they're still considered "high-end" figures. You won't find 12 inch Medi figures in the toy section of a Target or Walmart, that's for sure.

Medicom is still a high-end action figure manufacturer.. They are just being beaten by Hot Toys, but that does not mean they are out of the business. They actually merged with Enterbay (or Enterbay bought them, or the other way around). That should be a good attempt to level the playing field. :)
