If anyone is interested, I have the Medicom RAH MGS 4 Raiden mint in box for sale for $260 dlvd in the USA (contact me for delivery to Canada).

^That's actually not a bad price. Surprisingly, Raiden has turned out to be one of the rarer of the MGS figures in the RAH line.

Medicom is still a high-end action figure manufacturer.. They are just being beaten by Hot Toys, but that does not mean they are out of the business. They actually merged with Enterbay (or Enterbay bought them, or the other way around). That should be a good attempt to level the playing field. :)
I agree. I'm also a bit worried though. Medicom = overpriced. Enterbay = very expensive (don't know if it's overpriced since I don't own any of their figures). I should be surprised if the outcome would be more affordable. But to be competitive, your price must also be competitive. So, is there hope?

Don't think either company actually acquired the other - just a collaboration under the "Ultimate Unison" brand (similar to Project BM between Bandai and Medicom), with the first figure being "Tantei Monogatari" (Detective Story), a Japanese TV drama from 1979-1980.

And has been stated by others, a large portion of Medicom's 1/6 figures are from Japanese properties (film, tokusatsu, etc.) that have limited appeal outside of Japan and Asia (and thus likely lack an official US distributor) - not to mention the Kubricks, Bearbricks, VCDs and other products Medicom produces. Medicom may be losing to HT in the 1/6 market for Hollywood type properties, but they seem to be doing fine.

Ahh.. Thanks for setting the record straight, nikoniko.. I thought that was a 'permanent' collaboration - turns out it's just temporary.. Had my hopes up there for awhile on getting Enterbay-quality Metal Gear Solid heasculpts!!! :gah:
