are Medicom figures too small or are SST figures to big? Stormtroopers look great next to BBI and Dragon figures, in a way, it is the SST figures that seem to look out of place.

yeah, huge heads, big hands, long arms, stiff body.

Is it just me or do the detractors of Medicom always bring up the samll scale issue? :huh Does it really matter in the end if your stormtrooper and Vader are a 1/2 inch shorter than some of your other figures? Their just plastic figures so who really cares. :flag

Matters on Vader and Chewy. Not so much on the rest.

Not if they're in scale w/ the rest of your Medicom:D

I don't get this: Medicom is on a shorter scale all together, DISPLAY THEM ONLY WITH MEDICOM.

Problem solved.

My SS Luke hangs away from my Medi set up, and all is peaceful.

So, it really doesn't matter, it's just all in our heads.

I think SST figures are a bit on the tall side... just like Medi figures are a bit short. I think the closest to actual 1/6 scale are DML/BBI/HT figures, but then again (except for HT's movie masterpieces series) they don't really make a lot of "real" people, so the point is moot.

But, on the matter of scale... shouldn't Mace be one of the taller characters, like Qui Gon? And shouldn't Luke be even smaller? (he probably would be, except for the mellon head)
And, seeing as Jango is the original for Boba and the Clonetroopers/Stormtroopers (at least soem of the stormies), isn't the small Medi size perfect for those characters?
Forget about posing them next to SST Luke, he doesn't look good next to any figure (IMHO)...

How about make them to proper scale?

Problem Solved.

When he burst through the blast door in ANH he took up the screen.

Vader is BIG.

Not 12.1" with monkey leg extenders.

It certainly seems like it,if it's not the scale it's the price. While neither can be denied it does get a little tiresome reading the same crap in every thread about a Medicom figure especially if like me you don't collect SSC's 1/6 Star Wars figures. Maybe if SSC's figures had body proportions that resembled a normal human being and properly tailored attire the scale difference wouldn't be as noticeable. As it is I'll take a slightly smaller but near perfect recreation of Jango Fett over any SSC effort any day of the week. Not that they'll be making Jango any time soon

They're in plenty of scale...to themselves. Medi Vader is big next to Medi figures, screw the rest.

Medicom don't answer to no one foooools, they gangsta!

Problem solved.

We'll get a Vader that's in Scale w/SS from SS, and I'll display them with my SS stuff. My Medicom stuff chills in a league of it's own. I don't need to sit there and play with them and have tea parties and make all my toys mix up and pretend like I'm in ESB with them than all of a sudden "NO My Vaders too short and doesn't look right next to my SS Han (does anything looks right next to ss han?) this won't work....MOOOOOOM!!!"

Multiple displays for multiple companies making multiple scales of multiple awesomeness.

I think the scale thing was more of an issue when there were like three Medis and everyone thought the line was coming to an end. Nobody wanted two or three figures that were a different scale to Sideshow's line and I can see the reason why.

But now there are 9 SW RAH's and obviously there's gonna be more in the near future so scale shouldn't be an issue anymore, as you can create two totally seperate collections.

That's how I see it anyway.

It's like complaining you can't pose your SSC figures next to your Gentle Giant mini busts because they're not the same size.

The arguement held some weight in the beginning, but now it's just beating the dead horse all over again.

I'm not getting pissy over it, that's just my point of view on it, you guys wanna bleat on about scale and miss out on some awesome figures that's fine by me, leaves more for the rest of us.

but then again (except for HT's movie masterpieces series) they don't really make a lot of "real" people, so the point is moot.

Actually take a closer look at HTs military figures, they're all supposed to be, to certain details close, variations of famous people, from tom Cruise (F-14 pilot) to Val Kilmer (F/A-18 pilot) to David Beckham (Airborne Ranger) to John Travolta (Fire Fighter Lieutenant) to Jean Reno (GIGN team leader).

I cannot wait for this one to go on sale - I will be there on preorder day. I am getting ready to cancel many of my orders with Sideshow and just order Medicoms....Sideshow is designing their line toward a niche collector base and not a mainstream one....there is crossover, such as their upcoming Leia Boushh, that looks fantastic - but, we need figs like this to keep the energy in the line alive.

Hmmm, yeah, but not officially so.
DML also has a lot of headsculpts that look like famous people, but they are not labeled as the characters from a certain movie.

What I mean is: to know if a figure is truly 1/6 scale you'd have to assume that a 12" figure represents a 6' person.
So, obviously Medi's Vader is too short. But then again, SST Luke would too tall.

Anyway the DML and HT figures are all more or less the same height with small variations (DML has a short, a regular and a tall body). SST's figures are all generally taller than either, even Luke is about the same height as the regular DML and HT figures.

So all that "in-scale" thing depends on what the majority of your figures is, I guess.

I think collecting toys is fun. I also think if you're gonna get really let scale get in the way of fun, than good for you, more for me. My Medicom Vader is in scale, with my Medicom Star Wars figures, so I'm happy with that. I say if you want a Vader in scale w/SS than wait, it's easy. I go the Medicom Vader because it stood on it's own, it doesn't need to be displayed with ANY other toys, because it owns them. But if you do want to mix, than Medicom may not be for you, but that doesn't make their toys suck. They may be"out of scale" with everything else of your 1/6 collection, but in my opinion, they're also out of their league too.

I've been a fan and collector of Medicom for some time now. It's always been about the great quality and overall look. Scale has never bothered me. I really want this Jango.

This is what gets old from all the medicom **********s. Both have their possible issues depending on your POV.

If the groups can't get over it then go play in your own sandboxes. :lol

I personally like BOTH. Which is why I keep forking money hand over fist for both. The issues with both really don't get my panties in a wad like it seems to with others on this whole issue.

Scale, price, whatever. One things for sure, regardless. This figure is killer.

I really like Medicom's stuff. This Jango Fett is perfect. The only complaint I have with Medicom is the size of their RAH Comic Venom. He was way too small compared to the comic Spider-Man and he had a tiny head, so when I had them facing off it looked pretty silly. Other than that they're awesome. I just hope that Spiderman 3 Venom and Spider-Man are more proportional when they come out.
