I've never owned or seen in real life a Medicom figure. I always thought the crotch thrust was necessary in order for the figure to stand on its own. With any other pose it would topple over. I mean, why else in the world would all the shots have that exact pose? They can't possibly think that looks good?!?

different culture, different opinion on what looks good. As for stability, the medi stormtrooper and most of their figure doesn't require a stand to stand on its own, even in action poses.

Fair enough. And yeah, I can see how the crotch thrust is vaguely reminiscent of some anime character poses, but I don't think it translates well to the figures.

Glad to know the pose is not out of necessity, though.

All of a sudden a while back it was cool to say you thought the crotch thrust was funny or awkward. It really never was, and if it was it's not that funny anymore. I'm with vader it's probably just a different culture thing on why they pose them like that and how they think they look. I think it looks fine.

I'll take credit as being one of the first people here to habitually bring the stupid crotch thrust up as being f'ing retarded.

I never pretended to like it. I've always had a sarcastic tone to my humor about it.

I give the Japanese a little more credit than to call it a culture thing. They all can't be that gay.

I think its just the few ******* at Medicom.

Until they stop, I'm going to continue to make a joke of it.

I'll have to disagree, its not just medicom, quite a few other japanese manufacture do it too. For example, kaiyodo's revoltech. They even purposely sculpt robots to stand in that crutch thrust pose.

looks good. i might actually pick it up if the price drops a bit. i hope ss makes one as well.

I would be interested in an AT-AT driver and Death Star Gunner as well. But first they or SS need to make Scout and Snowtrooper.

Re: Medicom 1:6 scale T.I.E. Fighter Pilot

I guess so. I was actually shocked when I read it. Thanks for spreading the news. I can't wait to see more of him. He almost looks like the VCD.

Re: Medicom 1:6 scale T.I.E. Fighter Pilot

I am passing...Eventually SIDESHOW will produce one and IMO will be far superior and cheaper. I hope an AT-AT Driver will be produced as well.
