What do you think the Ex will be when SS produce a Tie-Fighter pilot, which I'm sure will be announced later this year?

I'm not so sure SS will release a TIE Fighter Pilot now. They'd better release something new like a Snowtrooper or Scout.

Defo purchasing the RAH version then x 2 to flank Lord Vader

Ok, random post of the day. All companies do the ESB/ROTJ version of Tie Pilots...any one here know that the ANH version had a slightly different look (and extra hose)?

I do not remember a grey stripe down the side of his helmet with the white looking decal on the top/middle. As a huge fan of Tie Pilots, figured I would share this random post...I thought it was cool!

Yes, these two pilots from ANH were supposed to be Vader's wingmen, later named Black 1 and Black 2. ANH pilots had an extra hose that wrapped around from the front chest box to the back. These two with the helmet markings were the only ones filmed piloting the TIEs for ANH, which is why you get a glimpse of one in ROTJ. They re-used the footage from ANH. Here is a pic of the original prototype of the Marmit 12 inch ROTJ TIE Pilot version standing next to a prototype ANH TIE Pilot with the extra hose attachment that was unfortunately unproduced.

This pic is from this great unproduced Marmit site:

Wow, very cool - I had never seen that before!!! Man, marmit caught all the details....

I have the produced one, but don't really care for it....Wow, they were gonna do the space trooper Stormies from ANH...very cool!

Thanks Brinn, for the Marmit pics, never seen those before. Very interesting. Would be nice if they do a version of the Black1 to go with my Laws setup. Looking forward to this piece.

I disagree with this. Who here is actually going to buy a Medicom version?

I'm all in for the 3 pack. I'm tired of waiting years for this trickle of one-by-one releases.

Me, I'm going to have a full Medi Imperial army someday. I've been much happier with the Medi figures over SS to this point, and we're still waiting for SS to put out just their 2nd armored figure. I don't want to wait years for something that may or may not be produced, and might be up to my standards if it is made when I can get one that I do like fairly soon.

$180....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously??

Yep...I was in the middle of ordering 2 when the near 400.00 price tag slapped me in the face.

Maybe in about 3 years when I can get them on eBay for 50.00.

I hate that SS jacked up the price so much for Medicom figures, at least I have a source that sells them for dramatically less.

No way is it that big a difference. Sideshow doesn't really mark them up much if at all. Medicom really is that egotistical to think they are worth that much. Check eBay prices from overseas dealers and they'll be as much as that if not more before shipping. The only time it's less is when you get a wholesale price from somebody.

Fewest production pieces per year, smallest interpretation of what 1/6 scale is, weakest likeness (except for Han), and the biggest price tags. How the hell do they think they are anyway?

good lord! what is the deal with that sticker price? i kitbashed a hasbro on a dragon and im totally fine with it. i cant see paying these prices for plain janes like tie fighter pilot or royal guard:duh but to each their own.

There's good prices out there from overseas period.

Don't help people in the usa much cause of shipping i suppose, until BBTS or someone marks it down in 6 mos. But this shows that they are out there for less.
