Just to put this into perspective... Tomorrow you could order Greedo AND the table with chairs/booth environment OR you could get one of the droids.

:rotfl:lol:rotfl

I seriously hope collectors send a clear message with their wallets this time.

It seems that we on this forum are smarter enough not to pay those prices for those figures, but how smart are the rest of the collectors like the ones that fork over insane amounts on eBay? You're right though, these will come down in price on eBay after a while, especially when Sideshow reveals their superior, half the price version, hopefully by SDCC.

overpriced and no accessories and probably out of scale with each other and other figures. i'll wait for sideshow's. hopefully sideshow includes a few attachments for r2 or some restraining bolts or something.

Medicom's Han Solo was $180, so I'm not sure what you guys were expecting the price on these droids to be. If anything, I'm surprised they're not more. That's not to say that I agree with the pricing, but it's not like this is coming out of the blue. And when you get right down to it, it's not much more than all of the Hot Toys figures people love so much, although these are admittedly very slim in terms of accessories. I don't plan to buy them at these prices, but I think the chances are very good that you'll be able to get these for under $150, and possibly considerably less. With Sideshow figures now regularly topping $100, I'm not sure that's so ridiculous, given the fact that they light up, have real chrome, etc.

X2^

I would not mind paying 150 shipped for that R2. And i have no doubt i will get it for that in the future.

They look great. And at 11" tall for 3PO that's not bad. He's the same height as SS Luke. 6 1/4" for R2. That sounds about right I guess.

Like most everybody else it's the price that's keeping me from getting these but that's it. Medi did a nice job on both of them.

The figures look freakin' AWESOME...

But...

The very idea of paying 190.00 dollars for R2-D2 and 200.00 for C-3po is an insult. Light-up features or not.

(Edit...Oops...Medicom) can populate the shelf space in their warehouse with R2-D2 and C-3PO at those prices.

:lecture:lecture:lecture I'll wait for Sideshow's versions which will no doubt be better, less "toy-like" and 1/2 the price.

You actually believe that Sideshow is going to produce a better C-3PO for $99 and an R2 for $95?

These would cost me about $475 after taxes and shipping. So yes, I do believe they'll be producing a better product at about $130 each, hell, even $150 each. Plus, they'll be more to scale with the rest of Sideshow's line.
