Mel Gibson does it again

I have to say that during the time of Mel's "sugar tits" meltdown I was so burned out on all his bad press that I had no desire to see his then movie Apocalypto. I ended up seeing it about a year later and loved it.

Now with all this going on - I really have no desire to see him in anything or anything he does. Bleh - all this bad press just turns me off. He just comes across as a major douche and I personally would rather spend my money supporting someone who doesn't turn me off so much.

I will agree he's done a lot of great movies - and yeah Apocalypto was an awesome movie. But these last 5 years or so he just seems plain weird.

As to this baby-mama, apparently she also has a "child" with Timothy Dalton.....Man, what a little *****-for-pay/child support. I honestly feel absolutely disgust for her personally.

All I can find is that his ex-girlfriend is alleging all this. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. I have no idea, but I do think something happened to him mentally. She does have a court case coming up so it could be that she after money.

Apparently some pics have been submitted showing her with a bruised and bloodied face with her two front teeth chipped. Allegedly from him hitting her in the face.

She does seem like one who is only after the money but that doesn't excuse Mel's behavior. He's got some serious anger management issues that seem to be getting worse.

I think what is more disturbing is the allegations that he beat her. Guess time will tell if they are true or not.

Well, in all honestly all this has to do with people's morbid fascination with tabloids... or seeing their "stars" fail... just like in Spider Man:

They found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you.

BTW, when Apocalypto finished shooting, I went to Catemaco and Nanciyaga on vacation, a couple of the locations where the movie was shot. And all the people I talked to about it, said that Gibson was the nicest guy... so, who knows...

Oh and I saw the movie 3 times in theaters, an amazing movie, though quite a bit inaccurate historically, but still, I like it a lot! !!
Unfortunately it got snuffed by most people due to all the tabloids...

Well I guess the saying that all press is good press may not be true after all.

I guess I don't find it surprising at all that the press turned people off from seeing his movie.

In his situation, I don't think it is so much about the public wanting to see him fall - but more about people in these positions of privilege who think they can get away with anything because they are famous.
