The whole theater seemed like NO ONE wanted to be there...like they all paid 10 bucks for a different movie at midnight.

Add in we got put in the crappy small theater with a blurry picture, and some _______ kept talking behind me.

Midnight showings should be fun. Full of energy.

Some jokes were hit and miss, but I just felt like people forgot MIB was supposed to be a comedy.

In fact, I'd wager most the people in the theater, who I believe were the class of 2012, don't even know what MIB is. Aside from a vague notion of it.

You rarely get a crowd like that for a new release, even a midnight showing, people don't seem very enthusiastic anymore. The last good one I had was the midnight showing of Predators, everyone cheering people on you get the sense they are real fans who are excted to be there, it's fun.

Yeah! Same here...exactly the same here.....

The Avengers was close. And Cabin in the Woods crowd had fun too. Even though there was only a few.

People suck. They need to have more fun at the movies.

I was also a bit drunk. So, that may have made it a bit odd. Every time I laughed, I felt like an idiot because very few did. Some jokes are funny. I just think people forgot the first two flicks.

Not noisy, invloved. Those crowds are the best. The ones that are into the movie and want to be there, they clap, they cheer, they laugh. They are particularly great when you go see a re-release or special screening of an older movie, like when I went and saw Back to the Future last year, people cheer when George sacks Biff, Marty outruns the Lybians etc.

There's a fine line between noisy and involved and unfortunately I've only experienced involved maybe a couple times. One of which was The Avengers. Have to say it was a pretty cool vibe, but for me personally, I don't need an involved audience to make the movie experience any better.

I like it the best when the people in the theatre are there to watch the film, not to cheer and clap and shout and stuff, because it's always distracting. I've seen The Avengers 3 times, and every time I missed the
Puny God line
because everybody was cheering and clapping.
I find it best if people are enthousiastic before, during the break and after the movie, but not during it. :lol

You sound like a boring person. :lol

Movies like this should be enjoyed. Everyone should be ____ing eccstatic when they walk into the theater. They should be freaking out and going "OH MY DEAR LORD! IT'S HERE!"

That's why Midnight showings are awesome. And that's why this one, was not.

Indeed.

Clapping and cheering is ____ing stupid. Some morons started clapping during the "avergers assembled" shot and some more morons started clapping along with them. Totally distracted me from the movie.

See, you're assuming I said that. I just said my audience sucked. For a midnight movie, they should've been more enthused. Even the people seeing Ghost Rider ____ing 2 had more spark in them then these dead idiots.

And they talked. And talked. Boring, talky, useless crowed of idiots.

They sucked the life out of the room. And so did the ____ty projector.

Good. I hope it ruined the movie for you and you went home and cried and lost all your money. :lol ;)

It didn't ruin the whole movie for me dumbass. :rolleyes2

It's a movie, not a football game. Nothing wrong with laughing. Even exclaiming during a cool shot is fine. But actually clapping and full on cheering is ____ing stupid as hell.

I'm talking about the excessive stuff. I remember during Spider-Man 3 when Stan Lee's cameo came on. All the morons from the local high school started yelling. Couldn't hear what was said on screen.

There's no need for that ____ and most of the time it's a bunch of morons who start clapping and then for some reason everyone else feels they need to clap too. :cuckoo:

It can be fun to be with a crowd that is enjoying the movie... but there is a point where it becomes a distraction from what's on screen.

Movie was great, I saw it with the Cast in NY and loved every damn second of it. it blew part 2 away and was the true sequel MIB deserved. It will make you laugh and the end will get you a lil teary eyed. lol it a lot of fun.

I used to go to the movie theater like every single weekend, there was a time i would get together with my friend or my Girlfriend and watch a bunch of movies, sometimes two the same day, 3 if we could,

but, going that much i started to see a pattern of douchebags, not the same people, i mean the same types of behavior,
there was always the guy with his friends that thought he was a comedian, he would yell non stop and make the stupidest jokes, like, if he at least made funny comments, but it was the most retarded crap ive heard a person speak,
there were the group of 15 year old girls taht would scream at the top of their lungs at ANY jump moment, and im not talking about horror movies, im talking about something like the mummy 3 or like, pirates of the caribbean...
there was also the people that would laugh at everything, even at nothing, someone could be opening a door in a movie like inception, and they would burst out laughing...
then there was the people that would bring their kids to saw, or Friday the 13th, like, seriously wtf? sometimes the kids would start crying non stop.
I dont ming laughing, or people being happy, small talk is okay too, but some people should be banned from movie theaters, if you can't behave in public like an adult you should not be allowed to leave the house lol
anyways, sometimes I didnt say anything, sometimes i would tell a person working there, it was always a losing battle, i dont know why people think they are so hilarious when they are retarded, liked ruining everyone's time, like is soo cool,

needless to say i stopped going to the movies, i still dont go, i only go if the movie sounds amazing

Clapping and cheering is what makes a midnight movie fun! :lecture

Sure... if it happens at my local IMAX where the gigantic screen and extraordinary surround-sound drowns it all out. :lol

Man, that Jermaine was so weak in the film. I kinda liked where he was going...but he had almost zero character, zero presence, and no real motive other then a dumb revenge plot.

Edger was great because we never really knew his plan straight off the bat. And we followed him from his landing, to his reveal. It made the character interesting to watch.

Boris just straight up said what he was doing right the beginning. Which took away from the character's mystique. And left nothing.

Plus his "Agree to Disagree" got kinda tired really quick. It was kinda charming at first. But then just got lame.

And I wish there was more of him. He kinda...didn't do a whole lot.

And when he revealed himself, it was too quick.

That's one of my main faults with the film. The ending scene was fun, but could've been more fun had they gotten a bit bigger with it.

I would've also liked to see more of the INvasion at the beginning.
