Right on, Rock83! I applaud Medicom for doing them at all, but they clearly don't give it their all. Would anyone else take MGS more seriously? Other than Sideshow, I dunno. Hot Toys is too entrenched in Hollywood licenses, but if they wanted to, they may be crazy enough to do the Metal Gear Rex, 1/6 scale!

If Sideshow got on to it, I wouldn't trust them with 1/6, but for PFs and such, definitely.

HT will never make a MGS figure, dont know about sideshow,if they did,it would be a PF.I saw a Custom Made Big Boss in tiger stripes statue on a site earlier, looked really cool,if i only knew how to get in touch with him i would buy it from him,it was better than any Medicom Snake figure!

That croc head is supposedly very rare. :monkey2

I thought I recognised that pic. They're mine! :D

That particular Croc Cap is indeed the rarest. Only 200pc in existence and they were never for sale. Only given to press and a few people by lottery at the Japanese MGS3 launch party.

Here's some more:

Lucky bastard,i want all of those, but the price aint worth it...

Got The newest anniversary set yesterday, the Cold War gear 2 days earlier, waiting for my Square Snake...:monkey5

They may be saving all the Medicom stuff for tomorrow, or Sunday? We'll know soon enough.

I emailed an Asian ebayer yesterday, asked if he accept my 200$ offer for the Olive Snake,he responded by saying that that is below retail price, which is 20.000 yen.Well 20 000 yen IS BELOW 200$:lol

His head is obviously stuck in the wrong place...

You should totally offer to buy it for 20,000 yen :D. ha ha.

Guys, I was wondering: does anyone know the amount of RAH Old Snakes that were produced (the original Snake, not the olive drab version)? A few weeks ago, I read a listing from an Ebay seller, which stated, that the Old Snake figure was limited to only 1000 pieces. Can anyone confirm this?

i'll get one if i can find a GREAT deal on it but i think they messed this one up big time with the way they did the suit both looks-wise and quality-wise.

congrats to those who want one though.

Quite likely it would be 1000pcs. The original Naked Snake was.

That's not so bad then. It just seemed like it was more cause they have been slow sellers.

That olive drab version of Snake sure looks sweet. Last week, I decided to order the regular version of Old Snake. Now, I'm pondering as to whether I should return the regular edition Snake for the olive drab version. Do you guys think I should? Also, in your opinions, which version of this figure, will be worth more for collectors?

Sorry for asking so many questions since I came to this board. :lol But, I'm somewhat of a noob at collecting, and you guys are pretty hardcore.

Well the Olive Drab is more limited, but i personally think the first release looks better.Besides,Medicom did a terrible face job on the Olive drab,he looks very yellow :(

So, the original release has an unpainted face, and this one is? I'm afraid I'll just stick to the regular release, and try to fetch one cheap then. :(

It's funny that Raiden came out so perfect, with mobile wrists and all.

Ok Snake didnt look so bad on that picture...I hope Raiden comes with his brown jacket as well, would look sooooooo good!

Thanks a lot! I guess I'll have to make up my mind soon. Now, I'm wondering if the olive drab is still limited to 500 pieces, or if the edition numbers have been increased (since, Sideshow is now offering the figure for sale). Hmm... I guess, we'll just have to wait and see.
