other then the different color octo camo suit and vest this looks the same as the first version.

LOOKS BAD ASS !! but I will pass on it since I got the first version.

Yes he does! I just wish they gave Snake the same treatment. You know, they could have made the whole octocamo suit of fabric with rubber pads. If you played through the whole thing, you know what I mean.

Hmm... the only thing that has seemed to change in terms of aesthetics, is just the color of the figure. The mold looks exactly the same as the regular edition Snake. Plus, from one of the pics above, it appears that Medicom is still using a small piece of tape to hold the sheath together. Besides a repaint, has Medicom really made any other improvements to this figure

My regular edition Old Snake arrived today, and it looks pretty nice. Since it's the first release of this figure, I might just keep this one instead of getting the olive drab version.

No improvements.. if anything, the face looks worse with paint on it. I don't see the tape thing everyone keeps talking about, but that's just horrible. I think I'm just going to cancel the drab, and just pick up the regular cheaply. Snake deserves better than this.

A fabric/rubber octocamo could have been done, even if hiked the price up. That would've ensured long term reliability.

Ok guys. I've just taken my Snake figure out of the box. Honestly, I'll have to say, that the figure exceeded my expectations for a first impression. I didn't bend any of the joints too much, and there didn't seem to be stress on the rubber. There was some paint running on his right thigh. But nothing too severe, that I can't mend mysef, with some acrylic paint.

Overall, this version of Snake seems very accurate to the character. I believe that the pale skin tone on the figure, accurately matches how Snake looks like in the game. Though, the head mold could have been done better.

I'm happy with this guy, so I'll keep him, and pass on the olive drab version. Oh yeah, for now, I'm putting him back in the box :(, until I can get a good air-tight display shelf.

Look at the fifth picture, on the fifth post (the picture with Snake's back). You'll see a small sheath, secured on the belt. Do you see that "metallic" looking part on the sheath? That's the tape :lol I saw it on my figure as well.

Kojima was at SDCC, and I wish I had brought my Kubrick boxes for him to sign. :sigh:

Same applies with the "LE" MGS4.
