I'm very excited for TPP and the associated PAK offering. I'm still hopeful that we'll get waves of figures from the rest of the series soon though.

I rather like the Figma Snake as well, really hope it's up to the standard of their Link figure.

It...has to be lighting, maybe. But maybe if we send enough comments, GSC could fix him. I say it's lighting though, based on this pic

The rest of him looks nice...but the face, where did they go wrong? Is Kojima over-seeing this like the PAKs and Revoltechs?

It's a case of Human-syndrome in figma, frequently found with characters from live action films.

Kojima Pro & Square Enix are investing so much on MGSV PAK, I cant see it being very fruitful.

And it's a waste of time :lol no one is going to buy up the MGS V line like crazy. Snake and Ninja are still sought out, they should of stuck with MGS1.

Might be the best way to pose him, it will look good and you won't see that chimp face.

Shame about the face and the wrong coloured pouches but the sneaking suit looks perfect colour wise

Gasper if i put weird low lighting on my face so you couldn't really see anything then I'd probably look like Solid Snake too. I'll give you the head shape and cheeks bones, the rest doesn't look 'just like him' and if you have to put him in that type of lighting with shadows covering pretty much everything then it's sort of a moot point anyway.

Not that PAK are any better, at all. That's why i have a custom head on mine. No Solid Snake figure released has looked like him

What Happened!?? i swear everytime there's a (Solid)Snake figure they gotta mess up the face. Was hoping the almighty Figma could finally it but alas

:exactly: :goodpost: nothing against you Gaspar, but Frank's got a point.

I'm still not sure where to put it on the Figma going wrong, bar the fact that they have a hard time doing realistic looking males. I thought that video games could be an exception after Link :dunno:

It's too soon to judge the figures likeness, gotta wait for more HD photos..
Am I the only one who loves MGS PAKs??

All the heads are bad pretty much. Snake's was pretty good at Comic Con, but the production paint job was horrible.

Gray Fox's HS is the best one to date :lol

They're okay for what they are, and I always buy them a bit less than the usual asking price so I'm not one to complain.
Besides, for all the complaining you'll find here, some folks actually have a decent collection of MGS PAKs, even more than I'd probably care to own (and that's coming from someone who's actually less harsh towards them!)

Regarding the Figma, it's literally what I was expecting from Max Factory considering their track record with making realistic characters. It's not bad enough to deter me from buying though, plus we need some HD photos to get a better look at the face.

My god.. One's opinion about something is a very singular matter indeed..
I find the majority of MGS PAKs really awesome, MGS1 Solid Snake for me is almost perfection. The only ones I see heavy problems are Meryl and MGS2 Raiden..
I mean, they can't be so ugly, Yoji Shinkawa himself supervises those projects. No one better than him to do so.
Am I too soft on my money? XD

Well his eye sight must be going because every figure he's supervised is off the mark.

And you must be.

Didn't get Meryl as my interest in the character waned over the years. Both PAK Raiden and Snake never really bothered me as much as it did for some folks. I mean at least they're not as bad as PAK Kratos or Nathan Drake, the airbrushing on those were just plain awful.

All of them are bad, they're just different levels of bad. The only PAK that is perfect, is the Vincent Valentine. The rest all have at least one thing wrong with them otherwise.

Well... PAK is still leader in terms of MGS collectables, not even Hot Toys got those HS right, probably they will get right on MGR Raiden..
I'm very happy with PAK line, even though they're not "state of art" $100 figures..

Honestly, I have greater appreciation for my MGS McFarlane figures, compared to the ones from PAK. The head-sculpts are strange, but they look much better in terms of proportion. McFarlane's MGS 1 Snake also came with loads of accessories, which was severely lacking from PAK's release of MGS 1 Solid Snake.
