straying from horrible paint jobs to comics................................i know there are a few in here who dislike the ashley wood art/comics. i had issues 1-9 of the mgs1 ones and never read them, telling myself i would when i got the full set. i managed to grab the last 3 issues plus came to find out there are a few variant covers (3) i never knew existed. one is with meryl, another with a portrait of solid (graham crackers), and the third is of solid shooting his gun (retailer summit). not sure if anyone knows about these but when everything comes in ill post pics.

I love PAKs, but the creative liberties they take are ridiculous. My cousin saw a pic of my PAK collection, not being a fan of MGS, she thought I was collecting "Cyborg men" due to those hips.

Considering the new offerings we're getting for MGS PAKs, I'd rather stick to customs and other 1/6 MGS figures. Heck, I might as well fulfill my lifelong dream of getting all 4 MGS3 Medi Snakes. Now that's would be awesome.

I've got to say the best MGS figure is still the MGS3 medicoms. Best head sculpt imo. It's a shame they did nothing more with the licence after MGS4. PAK peace walker snake Is still the best in accuracy, but I never liked that look.
The proportions and headsculpts is what's holding the PAKs back, otherwise they're perfect in scale, quality and scope IMO

Hopefully the figma Snake is just in terrible lighting [emoji21]

Yeah, for my money all of the 1/6 Medicoms have the best MGS headsculpts ever, Naked Snake, Old Snake and Raiden are just sublime. People tend to overlook them because they came pretty much unpainted.

I still think OldSnakes looks like a dried prune. He's the odd one out facesculpt wise. The suit is badass.
Still waiting for a really good OldSnake. Although that crouching stance UDF was badass, even the headsculpt

Ill wait for more picture to reach my final verdict but im still gonna buy two regardless. Im a dirty whore for some MGS2 Snake.

Here's another Gecco Snake statue. I still like this sculpt. Looks like they've added battle scars. would buy if it wasn't a 12' statue and have that weird mouth

His forehead is massive and the jaw is extended to much.

The head-sculpt looks like a weird hybrid between Kris Kristofferson and Jeff Bridges.

Didn't get Meryl as my interest in the character waned over the years. Both PAK Raiden and Snake never really bothered me as much as it did for some folks. I mean at least they're not as bad as PAK Kratos or Nathan Drake, the airbrushing on those were just plain awful.

To be fair, Kratos's head sculpt only is ruined by the black wash - that was bound to ruin his face regardless, it makes no sense, and the prototype looked like him (along with the front flap). It's they tried some sort of grime effect. Drake looks bad in general, not having that much of a resemblance to the character but Kratos's head sculpt alone, is the character. I own both, and was kind of shocked by Drake's lower quality but still love Kratos as one of my favorite PAKs.

That so? I never would have expected that either honestly. I might look that up, quite interesting.

That's my biggest gripe with the Medicom Snakes - being unpainted just ruins them the creative liberties of PAKs still blows at times though.

Cause it's PAK, I'm disliking PAK more and more, too much unnecessary detail for my taste, I'm even thinking about selling my Gray Fox and my Fatigues, at least my Fatigues.
