So i got this stuff in the mail today........

This is how far i am with old bb. 2 ttm-19 knockoffs on the way and wednesday im ordering old snakes suit and gun. When theyre both complete ill be looking for a painter for the head sculpts. Thanks again frank and tinela, excellent work!!!

Yeah I think it's time to part with Croc Cap, it's the first 1/6 in my collection (that I kept) It's out of scale with everything and I could use some cash for other stuff.

Man, Croc Cap Snake is the one figure that I won't sell from my entire collection . It got me into 1/6 collecting, and there's just way too much sentimental value behind it.

Yea this is the fastest ive gotten an EMS package, shipped Saturday and got it today. Joints are a little weird on this one and my figure was sort of misassembled but i managed to fix it. One con is that he can only hold the sword with his right hand. Aside from that it looks really good with Snake.

So, this just came. My UPS guy was lazy, so I had to walk several flights of stairs with this to my place...

Right now it's in my living room, but I'll open it later. I also ordered those batteries that Plis linked to on Ebay, so I'll be able to test out the LEDs soon enough.

Finally! Congrats Solidus! Though you must have the patience of a monk to not open it up right away.

The Medi Snake could scale up nicely with the HT Snake by pulling the shins, and with a repaint he'll look great in no time.

I completely agree with rampy. I really do consider Croc Cap Snake as a holy grail of MGS collectibles. It might have devalued a bit over the years, but it's quite a unique figure - considering its limited production (1000 pieces worldwide), and how it matches closely with Shinkawa's artwork, without looking odd like the PAK figures.

Like Solidus said it's the rarest too, only 1000 and never reissued. Sure the OD Old Snake is more rare (500) but nobody cares about that.

It's a gorgeous figure on all fronts. I'm posting more pics to dissuade you from selling.

It's looks way better than the Hot Toys figure, and any of the Big Boss figures from PAK's lineup. I'd seriously think twice about selling it, Plis.

I was looking at it tenderly last night... alone...

In terms of accuracy, it's probably the most accurate to the Shinkawa artwork than ANY figure for MGS ever released. It brought back a lot of memories too. Just remembering when I was younger and playing MGS3 for the first time, and being the only game where Big Boss was a badass. This was the figure to get me into collecting, but I originally bought the OD Old Snake and sold it because I didn't like it and thought it was a pointless hobby

But then I found a Croc Cap on eBay and talked the guy into doing it through Paypal for about $300 at the time. He actually turned out to be a member of the Freaks

See i like the HS on the Medi don't get me wrong but i don't think it's accurate to either Shinkawa's artwork or the in game. It's sort of a mix of both but with very little interpretation other than the hair. That's not to say it isn't up there as one most accurate MGS head made to date (which is still the PAK PW line)

I never was bothered by the medi figures, the shortness and overall look is too animeish.

Even though it's MGS, if it's not getting the love it once or others get then it's probably time to rotate and get something else in.

That's one reason i have never gone and bought them. I think i like the 'idea' of having them in my collection, for the completest in me but once in know i wouldn't enjoy it as much as others i could get.

For me accuracy and likeness is obviously something i strive for but i also always keep in mind the display-ability, which is why i can look over the inaccuracies of PAK for example, and the HT figures.
