I managed to convince part timer freak Mosya to get on the project as well. After this, mandatory Snake avatars for everyone. I wonder if you guys would inflict self-harm in excitement after having the heads in person. I know I almost did.

I'm still a ways out from getting it. I would guess maybe around June-July? I don't know the time table.

In other news, I just got to the underground maintenance base in MGS. Almost time for the REX fight! I've been taking my time with it, listening to all codec calls and cutscenes. I forgot how awesome the briefing files were.

When I complete it, I'll move to MGS2-MGS4.

What difficulty are you playing at? I sued to breeze trough Hard like it was nothing. Now I could barely throw a grenade into the M1 without an infinite bandana.

It's on Normal, since I don't know what happened to my Extreme saves. I'm coasting through it pretty easily, although I stupidly died once. In preparation for MGS2 in 2001, I did a Big Boss Extreme run. I think my final time was 1:51 (with Stealth and Bandana), it was the fastest I've ever done any MGS. Although there is some Japanese players that probably got me beat by a half hour

I got this sculpt for free a while back. It is in rough shape and has some proportions that aren't for everyone but there was just something about it I really liked especially for the price. Xenoviper did a great job with it so I thought I would show you guys.

Also I'm totally in on this whole changing our avatars to MGS Sold Snake in celebration of that figure coming together.

Seeing as Im going to get in on this Snake from Frank I think I'm going to just get rid of my Play Arts figures. I have the majority of them and I know there are a lot of people trying to get Solid Snake so before I take him to eBay I thought I would offer him up here. Just PM me if you are interested.

On an unrelated note, I used to have these awesome Metal Gear Solid 2 gashapons from Yamato Toys, of which there was almost every character in the game including Fatman, Pliskin, and Mr. X (Olga in exoskeleton suit). I sold them a few years ago but damn, I wish I hadn't.

I still have them and I think they're fantastic. They all have bad@$$ for such small figures. If you ever plan to rebuy some, keep in mind of the countless bootlegs out there.

I understand those who still collect the PAKs, but I sold all of mine long ago because they're way too expensive where I am. I'd rather spend the money on more Hot Toys figures.

Even if they did they would look like they were zombies and I have faith Goodsmile will satisfy my need for smaller scale figures.

As the situation doesn't really look very promising for Konami, I hope it wont affect the collectible licenses made prior to the incident.

yea ive been watching ebay and just missed one that sold last week for $60. his birthday is in a few weeks so hopefully I can find one for him before then. He just started getting into video games. I gave him my old ps1 with metal gear solid on it and he absolutely loves it.
