Is there a pic of the pilot figure anywhere? Just curious to see what it looks like.

No pics as of yet. But, it's supposed to be a 3A version of Snake from Ashley Wood.

It was shown, and it was unpainted. It was Old Snake but I think this what we were going to get at all.

They should provide a MGS 1 Liquid in addition to Old Snake. It would look pretty awkward to have Old Snake pilot a fully functioning MGS 1 REX instead of Liquid. That is, unless you remove the panels for a battle damaged MGS 4 REX - then it would be justifiable to have him in the cockpit.

Not really. The Bambaland exclusive version is still coming to those who ordered it. ThreeA is just taking more time with that edition because of all of the extras that they have to include. I guess they could have made it "fair", and stored the retail versions in a warehouse until the Bambaland exclusives were prepared - and then ship everything out at the same time. But, depending on how many REXs were produced (and I'm guessing that it was A LOT), they'd want to streamline their orders into batches, to make the shipping process more manageable.

Just exactly what extras do *we* get asides the pilot? EDIT - I see the poster, box art, and incredibly small articulated figure (like an inch tall? the ****?)

November needs to come now. I was fine waiting until it released but hearing that retailers will get them before us really urks me. I know it's been said a thousand times but yeah . . . .

I think if the smaller kit is getting a Snake/Grey Fox/Liquid, the ThreeA should at least get that treatment as well, especially since we are getting such a huge delay on them. I know they are different companies but since we have to wait past the retailers since they are getting more work done, then why not right?

^My thoughts exactly. A pilot (Old Snake) is a good extra but there should be at least a few more figures, especially since REX can be configured in either the MGS 1 or 4 variants. If you're planning to display REX in the MGS 1 configuration with the railgun, it'll be completely wrong and just downright hilarious to put Old Snake in the cockpit.

But, I'm sure that your wait will be more than justified in the end. At least you know now that it's shipping in several weeks.

But I already took steps to prepare for my set up since I'll be going with the MGS1 set up.

I bought the MGS1 Kubricks of Grey Fox, Liquid, and Snake which I'll be proudly displaying with my Rex!

While they won't be to scale at least I can accurately portray the final scenes of the battle!

I think it's official, the distributor here stated in their FB along with other 3A's figures that it will arrive around late October (Halloween). -> meaning in hand(s) pic should be coming by November.

So in the end, 3A choose not to change their method of presenting information regarding the details on other licenses figures (apart from a dozen pics of what it can do - have fun guessing). All we can do now is hope and pray that they executed it well.

I think Sideshow will ship out first before other retailers, because they're the official distributor of ThreeA, and everyone else gets supplied by them. My last flex pay with Sideshow is scheduled for October 5th and they haven't notified me of any delays (as of yet anyway).

I finally got a hold of my guy at the comic shop and he said that Diamond lists Meryl as being released in November... I wonder why every other webstore has her listed as coming out in September??

just like i said, 3a dildo. it happened again. my last flex pay is now scheduled for 11-25. im gettin friggin really pissed off. these people are frustrating. if i didnt want this so bad itd be cancelled. i hope they dont do anything else but rex and ray. i hate them.
