Well, do you know of a good brand of 1/6 clothes to purchase? I'm definitely changing the camo suit, if I get this figure.

Also, how hard is it to change the clothes on the Snake figures? Will it require some major cutting, or do the clothes come off easily?

I definitely agree with you, though. This figure is certainly not my first choice. If I save up enough money between now and September, I'll see if I can purchase one of the previous Snake figures.

well you can find all of those camo types on ebay, but they will all be kinda baggy as the Medicom figures are smaller than 12".Look at mine:

The clothes comes off easily,no worries there, just be easy on the figure when you take them off so you wont snap of anything like i managed to do with one of mine:eek:

Some updated pics of this guy are available on Medicom's website. Thankfully, he doesn't appear to be either a limited edition or mail order exclusive. There are also some fancy, official pics of the Kubricks there.

I read somewhere that the figure was limited to about 1000 pieces. It even says "国内1000体限定!" on Medicom's site. So, yeah, it probably is limited.

Thanks for the info, Rock! I really don't mind the bagginess, just as long as the figure looks good, when the clothes are changed. And your figure looks superb!

Hmm, that's weird. Their website has 3 categories: 1) New; 2) Limited; and 3) Mail Order. If it were limited to 1,000, then you would think it would be in the 2nd category. Maybe once it isn't a "new" item anymore, it will get put into the "Limited" category.

Sucks if it is limited and if that drives up the price, because I won't pay much more than the typical going rate for RAH figures for him.

The Paint is just so much better than the other figures,i want this NOW!!!

I have to strongly disagree....for once! :D

Comparing this to the proto shots for the original trio, this looks POOR. He has a perma-tan?!? Will have to wait to in hand shots I guess, because Medi promo to production pieces are always different.

Still, WAY out of left field.

If they were going to do an 'odd' camo, there were SO many better choices than this.

From the paint, to the gross outfit and already owning a zombie snake this is the easiest pass of 2009 on a surprise collectible that comes out of no where.

I would prefer this camo than the funny Cold war camo^^

By far "The" Best Camo on MGS 3
Why Medicom didn't choose this one ?

HOW DARE YOU TO DISAGREE:lol

Seriously though...all of them have TERRIBLE paintjob, their faces are as white as it gets, and yes this one looks like he has a tan.But of all of them i choose this one as i rather prefer a "Tan Snake" than a white skin colour that looks like Snake has been dead and rotting in the water for a week:lol

I love all of them though, this is a nice add, cant wait to have it in hand!

You know, I was thinking the same thing last night. I'm considering to remove all the clothes from the Cold War Snake figure, and then apply custom made clothes, to represent the Stealth suit.

The Stealth suit from Portable Ops was AMAZING! I wonder why Medicom didn't decide to do that instead.

Now as for the Cold War costume, it makes Snake looks like a Soviet Russian Garbage man :lol. "Comrade -- In Soviet Russia, you separate recyclable from garbage... or I take silenced pistol and shoot in face".

I would prefer this camo than the funny Cold war camo^^

I think this new one looks better than the past ones.

Oh HELL NO. The best looking RAH Snake was definitely the original Croc camo version - the same version that sells for up to $500 on Ebay auctions. The tiger-stripe ver. Snake was pretty awesome too (check the link below for pics on the RAH tiger-stripe ver. Snake).

In my opinion, Snake's new Cold War outfit reminds me too much of a garbage man, or a really bad disc jockey. Honestly, I don't understand how anyone can prefer THIS camo suit, to any of Snake's previous camos. Sigh... to each their own, I guess.... :rotfl

The outfit may not be as good, but the face sculpt or painting on it makes it look far better.

Ahh, I have to apologize. I redirected you to a link, where the poster made custom camos for his figure, using clothes from Hot Toys :lol. But, still, you get the idea.

Yeah, the face sculpt for this figure is pretty nice, as it doesn't have that "albino" look to it.

Minus (--) the current clothes, and plus (+) custom clothes, this figure will look pretty awesome. :D
