I really wish koto would just send these repainted. They're so nice looking. I would like this version and one painted like the Desperado ray

I wasn't aware RAY was so green, looks like the Turtle mobile.

Btw I can't seem to find my Document of MGS2 disc after my cat slapped it off the disc tray not too long ago. Makes me a bit worried.

Now, why couldn't ThreeA devise a foot platform like that, to hold the figure in place?! Instead, they had to go with a crotch stand (which looks a bit inappropriate, to say the least).

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw these shots. Although it would probably be too heavy for this type. They should of given it the crotch stand instead of this "it'll stand on it's own" bull ****.

Not that i'm getting it but who in their right mind would leave a $500 collectible of this type on it's own stood up without a stand

Yeah unless the feet have weights in to distribute weight there so it's more balanced it's be unwise to leave it by itself like that, at $500 dollars a pop anyway

Plus I heard tales of REXs legs not supporting the pose in some poses

Yeah, luck of the draw would give you really loose hip joints on REX. Or problems with electronics. Or you get a crooked head, jaw and loose jaw joint like me :pow

One of the top things on my list to make, a stand for Rex.

Took me about 3 days to get him to sit on a the glass table or bar top without doing a split while I was away.

I know this has probably been gone over with Rex before...
...any tips on how you get the laser rifle off without feeling like you are going to break it?

Can you not make like a rubber bit to stick to the bottom of the feet? Like soles on shoes lol

Should cause enough friction to stop the legs slipping in any direction I would have thought

Or something similar to that anti slip carpet stuff you can use for laminate flooring

^ I actually did that...but then they eventually just stayed without them. Think the "new-ness" just had to come off.
Yea, even had a little piece of carpet, he stand awesome on the floor, ha...but the temp piece of carpet looked odd.
In the end, a little woodwork will be fun.
