Plus are you asking for consistency or accuracy on anything from Kojima related stuff?

Consistency on what makes the character... the character. Every figure so far almost, has at least one problem with it albeit eye color or scale. I think consistency and accuracy kinda go hand and hand.

Ehh, for the most part, I don't think you can have a figure that will please everyone honestly. PAKs tend to have numerous issues, some of which can be unique or something but I don't think they're the only brand limited to that. I'm with you totally though Plissken, like the lack of facial hair on his chin. Consistency is something that should be maintained. Stuff won't be perfect, but a few things should be maintained.

There are so many people (almost all women from what I've noticed) that complain about the Sailor Moon figuarts for stupid, diehard fangirl reasons for instance. I think what we don't like about PAKs is fine, like shoddy paint jobs, and prices, but some of those fangirls are just dumb. "Oh Mercury's hair is not that accurate and her legs look weird" "Omg they're too overpriced and too small" "the joints are too stiff" (this is every figure ever at first) "the paint should have been perfect" the list goes on. I'm not even trying to be sexist, this is seriously what I've noticed. Look on Amazon and some review sites. I'm guessing they just bought because Sailor Moon and aren't into figures like us, but come on. I'm a diehard DBZ fan who has few problems with some of the DBZ figuarts, that people in the thread on here have as well, but this is stuff like bad joints, looseness. I don't nitpick everything.

Ive just come to the conclusion that if i want a perfect figure im going to have to create it or tailor it myself. I dont even really complain anymore. Were just not going to be heard and these will all be released continually with these defects/inconsistencies.

The body looks fine but the HS...ugh. I'm thinking maybe if someone mods an old PW head sculpt, remove the bandana, it'll be better...

They didn't even follow the hair growth when painting it, they went across his chin with a straight brush stroke

AT the rate this is going I may bow out of MGS Play Arts. With the price rising to $100 and the quality lowering to worse than Mattel I just cant justify it any more.

When I look at them i don't ever think of the wrongs though. They always look sick despite all the inaccuracies and I think that's the main thing

I dont know. The only one I have that I feel like I couldn't live without is Solid but I am now even questioning that because I really want to display Liquid with him and Liquid managed to somehow look worse than Nathan Drake.

yeah well, I agree despite all that I know I'll buy most of their MGS figures. I like how they look just like Yoji's artwork

As for painters, I don't know anyone is the US bit I'm sure if you ask around someone will be able to help

Zelu repaints of course if you go back a few pages you'll see his skills

They didn't go for in game accuracy, they wanted Snake to look more like this

And you can pose the figure like that and it will look like Yoji's artwork, most of the time it really depends on you. Some people think this figure looks just like that, others don't.

Yeah I know what they were aiming for they just didn't pull it off that well

Like I said they aren't terrible, but I don't even have the original solid snake head on so that states my opinion of it

The best ones are solidus and grey fox, but they even took liberties there
