noticed that earlier but didnt post. the rubber chest thing is weird. hopefully its better than we think. maybe this is the reason why costs are going up. i hope theyre coming out with a better product. we all know the paint will be mishandled.

I never had a problem with the rubber crotch. I thought it was an awesome way to give better articulation to the legs and you would never know by looking at it, whats the issue?

i havent any but other members here do. i guess if i had one gripe itd be that its not a fixed piece, it floats around wherever. you actually have to pose it after youve finished posing the rest of the figure.

The rubber chest doesn't bother me, as long as it's actually an improvement and doesn't turn out to make things worse somehow.

I don't like the rubber crotch, I see it as getting in the way and just a way to hide joints, while compromising pose ability. Dead Space 3 Isaac has a crotch piece that does NOT work at all. His legs are hard to move. I'm not sure about this rubber chest...an interesting idea maybe, it's nice that they are trying to change up things.
I talked to a friend today who helped me buy Play Arts Kai Kratos and helped me find some other figures. He was amazed by GZ Boss's price, he agrees that it isn't worth it and also stated I'm probably find with my PW Boss. The prices for Solid Snake and Cyborg Ninja also amazed him, and he keeps up with figure companies.

The rubber crotch can be annoying at times, but it seems to work out well. One problem with smaller scale figures with realistically sculpted hips is they loose some RoM in their hips. I think the rubber crotch helps with that. Is it worth the trade off? I don't know. I think it works better in some cases that others. The rubber chest should in theory work better, since it's larger. If it's as loose as the hip piece though that could be a problem.

Being loose is my worry. Or it coming all bent out of the shape right out of the package.
i picture the chest being like the bosses body where its all molded with the joints inside.
i got my mgs2 raiden in today! the paint on mine looks really good (thank.............erm............ god). the guy poly wrapped my box to a piece of cardboard and double bubbled it. excellent packing. unfortunately i dont have time to open him up and post any pics, i have to go to the car shop. you know i will later though!!! i did shine a light in and have a look to check him over and he looks awesome. no complaints on my paints. mine even has shading on the face, i know i saw a bunch of flushed raiden picture posts which may have also been from a flash. the dog tags are thinner it seems that liquids and are also painted black around the edge to simulate the rubber cover. cant wait to mess around with him and pose him with the soliduss. ill be getting a 2nd soon for the alternate look.
i cancelled liquid from bbts and will get him eventually, but sooner than later. waitin on rebuilt funds for now. it just sucks to see the hole there where he should be standing, but oh well.

Nice! I'm still waiting for US stores to get their stock. Ugh, they always take so long, lol. That's good to hear about his dog tags, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about Liquid's yet. probably just remove them for the time being. Better to have no dog tags than to have dominoes.
That's another concern. I guess we'll know here soon. If it is bent out of shape, then it might not be easily fixed. Maybe hot water, but I worry with paint on top of rubber about flaking or cracking issues from heating.

Yeah I'm with you on this, hard to at times say with the rubber crotch. Sometimes I think it's meh, othertimes I hate it. I mostly hate it with the Batmen. I don't know if the Big Boss PAKs had this though, did they?
so, i finally got to take my raiden out. i think this figure is really nice. my paint came out just fine imo, i have no gripes in any other regard. still cant post photos because my phone almost died. i see theyre still sealing the stands on the card, ****ing *******s.

SQEX should just drop the stands, they're not that great anyway. I don't use them as I don't want to damage the packaging. Hot Toys stands are better.

heres some raiden pak pics.
Looks like the MGR Raiden but with a human body, nice, better than the in game version
the sword is the same but the paint is different. soliduss sword has an all black grip with a gold band where the blade meets the hilt while raidens the diamonds on the grip are the color of his suit and there is no gold band.

Nice Jason! Raiden and Solidus are the last MGS PAK I'll get for a long, long time. I'd love to see you make a diorama too!
