Does anyone think Hot Toys will announce a Punished/Venom Snake 1/6 at SDCC? Man I really hope they do!

I think it's more likely that a figure reveal will come next year, since the Raiden figure was already announced. I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that Hot Toys will opt for the Sneaking Suit from Ground Zeroes, instead of the camo fatigues from TPP. They seem to have a major love for Sneaking Suits... or anything with rubber, for that matter.

Yeah that's my fear though. It a reason I passed on the Metal Gear Solid 3 figure. I was never of a fan of that Sneaking Suit in particular. Now if they made Solid Snake MGS1? That's a while nother story.

I dunno seeing that custom Venom Snake that was made (I forget the talented artists name) REALLY makes me want a Phantom Pain version instead of a Ground Zeroes.

I hope not. The last Hot Toys figures didn't sell well at all, they ought to tackle MGS1 characters.

I'm with you! I have a love hate relationship with MGS. It's tough though because in my opinion the series peaked with MGS1. I keep hoping each subsequent game tones down on the stupid zany ******** (like dudes ******** their pants, and shooting bees from their mouth, to warships with mount rushmore ontop of them).

sadly. The nendoriod still surprises solely since it's Good Smile Company and their love for schoolgirls.

Beautiful! Are you planning to weather it? I have reservations on weathering my MGS figures because nobody gets dirty in the MGS universe.

How did you manage to get your RAH Tiger Stripe Snake in such a neat pose? It looks it was taken right out from the art work.

Yep it is! Actually all of my figures were sealed until about a year ago. Unfortunately I stored them in my basement and some of the cards got mold! at the point I said screw it, I'll open them up. Thankfully the three clear variants were still in good shape (along with the tank). On the bright side I finally got to assemble Ray!

So they did put the tail on it. Hopefully they make another ver. as I can't get over the uneven shoulder and the head position

@CAIN MKII, that Rex is really coming along nicely.

I would probably be interested in getting a HT Venom Snake in bdu. Hopefully, HT learnt something from the decision they made with MGS3 BB.

Thanks Solidus, I just kept futzing with him till I got something I liked. I did use the some of the game art as reference for the pose though!

Haha thanks bangkok! Like I said earlier I have a "complicated" relationship with MGS, it could be such an amazing series again if Kojima would just tone down some of the stupid crap he loves to put into it.
