It really is just too expensive at the moment. Its just Medicom trying to cash in on the success of the first releases. But with this horrible outfit it should be $175 on Sideshow and cheaper other places.

Aw snap! You are my new hero :monkey2

Danke  I'll do my best to protect you from the monsters.

Well, you've figured out problem 1 right there. With a half-time graduate assistantship, my money ain't what it could be. I keep telling myself that this is an "investment" :(

I'm right there with you. I'm a grad student now myself, which is why I only got the new Kubricks and not the RAH Old Snake and Raiden... Just couldn't justify it. I'm kind of half glad that they went back to Big Boss this time around and it's a camo I don't like (on a figure that is) because I won't have to take the financial hit. Now HT Jokers are a completely different issue T_T Thank God for tax returns...

Kubricks are so unpredictable with this stuff. Certainly, I hope it is a little more creative than the "stealth" Kubs from last time. Personally, I could go for Psycho Mantis or Meryl. An updated Otacon is also possible, or maybe even Campbell. My personal "out of left field" pick would be another Big Boss, with beard, beret, etc.

If it's Meryl or Big Boss, I'll definitely shell out up to $100. Any core character I probably will. Again I'm miffed but relieved that the last secrets were stealth, meant that I could pass without feeling too bad about it.

The RAH figure? I might could justify that, but not $190.

I'm glad I don't have to; if I didn't have any Big Boss RAH's I might have had to myself @_@

Now RAH's that I would want to see? The usual. MGS 1 Solid Snake, Grey Fox/Cyborg Ninja, 1 +4 Meryl, Sniper Wolf, Liquid Snake, The Boss. Camo accessory packs would also be nice for Jack as opposed to full figures like this one.

While I've also come to terms with the fact that HT is superior, I still have a soft spot for Medicom... In any case, I don't really mind who has the license, but SOMEONE needs to continue making 1/6th MGS figures.

Wish I coulda got some money back to buy toys with :monkey2

Don't they know that by taking more tax money away, the government is prohibiting me from investing in our economy!

The federal government isn't thinking logically (not that it ever has). They are the ones who want to "invest" in the economy, by taking your hard-earned cash and placing it into their massive abominations of spending programs (included with thousands of ridiculous earmarks). No, you see, in their eyes, the American people are too stupid contribute to the economy, and make a difference. We can't be trusted to manage our own finance, so they'll manage our money for us. Within only six weeks, they've managed our money alright, and more than doubled our national debt.

So, how about tax-breaks and allowing the free market fix itself? Oh pleeease... "Tax and spend, tax and spend!" :banana. We'll spend our way out of our spending, and we'll spend some more, and we'll tax just for the hell of it! :banana Yeee-haw.

Just on another note, Christian Bale, or The Bale as I simply call him, should be offered an island filled with gold and virgins and gold virgins and a working life-size Gundam Mobile Suit to play Snake in a live-action film.

And this is why my Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation John Connor which is waiting for me patiently in the future (how that's for metatextual) will double as my movie Snake.

That is all.

This guy speaks sense!! Lol, my bro and me call him The Bale too. :D

Oh oh! And what does everyone think the chase figure will be with the new Kubrick set?
I'm REALLY hoping it is MGS2 Vamp, poss MGS4 Vamp OR I need an MGS3 Ocelot!!

Sure, it is cheap. But, the devil is in the details. Here's their pre-order policy:

"Items at Urban Collector with a 'Pre-Order Item' designation and/or a 'Future Availibility' will be charged a 10% non-refundable deposit (of the Sale price) at the time of order."
https://www.urban-collector.com/prpo.html

So, if I pre-order from them, but choose to cancel my order at a later date, that's $16.80 down the drain (10% of $167.99).

Sideshow doesn't require a down-payment, and I've never had problems with them before when canceling my orders.

Yeah, I just ordered it through BBTS for $174.99.

$190.74, but I'm located in Hawaii. It should be cheaper cause I got a ^^^^ load in my pile-o-loot.

Yeah... shipping charges really add to the price . I pre-ordered from Sideshow, and got the figure for $189.00, when I applied my points. Still kinda expensive.

If I can get the figure for $150, that would be sweet :D. But, even for that price, I'm not ordering from any stores with dubious pre-order policies.

Yeah, I'd rather spend the few bucks not to worry.

Razors edge does that and it has one of the best track records. I really don't know any et-tailer that also doesn't charge a restocking fee if you choose to cancel...

Sideshow Collectibles, Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store... just to name a few.

Yes but your leaving out one important part. All 3 have higher prices. SS does because your buying from the company first hand. So you pay $10-$15 dollars more for an item. and my experiences with EE and BBTS are good, but man their stuff is way overpriced compared to say: Razorsedge, Northside Collectibles, and Urban Collector.

Just be sure you want it before you preorder right? That's the whole point anyway.

Well, I prefer to have the freedom to cancel my orders at any time, and that's why I won't ever shop at those retailers. Six months is a long time away, and it's very likely that I can change my mind before then.

And just as darkknight said, it's good to pay the extra cash for peace of mind.
