Seriously, just look at the size of the head in all images (MGS or MGS4 - doesn't matter)
I'd rather get a good proportioned and well-articulated good size figure that huge, out-of-proportion, over-priced statue.
It could be just me though.

Nah, it isn't. For 300 bucks (more likely to be sth. around the 350-400 mark I think) I expect it to be a exact representation of Rex. As you've already pointed out the proportions do look a bit off. Let's just wait and see how this Chun-Li inspired Rex turns out to look in the end... ;-)

I already built a 'my version' of Rex - but it's a modified resin kit - kinda fragile to play with. So I still want something better/solid.
If I see $300 value and quality, I'll pay for it. So far with the final prototype images, I don't see it yet. That's all.

You so need to make a mold of this and then sell them! Yours in just perfect in every way possible!

They look brilliant to me, especially Snake.

Now that I think about it, I just hope that they don't mess up the paint job with Gray Fox. Play Arts uses a base paint for their molds, and then they paint over using other colors. But, the paint jobs are so lightly done, that the paint often scuffs off in the blister packaging, revealing the grayish color of the mold underneath.

Both of my Play Arts Snake figures (Sneaking suit, and Jungle fatigues version) have some nasty paint rubs. It's not too bad on the Jungle Snake figure, because it looks as if Snake just crawled through some mud. But, on Gray Fox, the potential could be disastrous, especially with the white helmet and shiny gold-color armor.

That would be sweeet!!, but all the prototype images I've seen so far are just 1 piece mask head without face. I could be wrong thou.
old McFarlane Ninja had a 2nd head with open mask. Something like that will be good enough.

I'm sure they'll reveal everything that comes with them soon. They still haven't put up pre-orders for he alternate red version of grey fox. Also i remember seeing a set of NVG for Snake in the background of proto figures Kojima tweeted
they've still got til feb to show the box all the accessories and exclusive stuff you'd get from the square site

The official sites prices for their figures had me pretty happy to start with then. Thought I'd best check the postage costs too, which then ruined the entire thing. £12 postage? Bleh.

At this point, I don't think they'll fix anything... unfortunately. Would be great if they did, though because the paintjob will probably prevent me from buying the figure.
