All fans who sell will come to regret it, I'm sure. This is the most bad *** thing I own, and is on its way to, if not already, to becoming a grail. Sure, 3A pissed in our mouths but its here now, and it sounds like some are making mountains out of mole hills because of the hassle the makers gave us. Stay the course!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Despite all of the issues, I think it's safe to assume that this will be the only REX figure that we'll ever see in this scale. I'm definitely not returning mine, but I'll attempt some minor modifications, especially around the missile hatches.

You might want to check your inboxes. I think it's a pre-order by invite only, since this version of Raiden doesn't show up on their regular site.

Hey guys! Here's an update on Raven, almost ready for painting!

Updates:
- Belt to hold ammo drum
- Ammo belt from drum to gun
- more details to gun
- Raven on shoulder

Remaining tasks:
- details to shoulder pad where Raven is resting
- paint spray the sonova ******.

Thanks mate! Shoulder pad definitely needs work.

The tattoos are gonna involve a loooooot of masking tapes. Thank god for the McFarlane ficgure which I'm gonna use as reference. I'm also going to try to make it as similar to the reference pic of Raven in the official artbook.

I still think the McFarlane Raven is one of the best figures every released based on the franchise aside from the bullet feed being molded backwards

I don't have a clue where I could fit RAY now that I got REX

That was a big issue. Plus I want to keep my figures relegated to a shelf, and not have my house or room be about action figures. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, it just wouldn't fit my decor properly. Also have two giant Metal Gears (as bad *** as it would be) just can't invision them anywhere in my place.

That said grats to those who are keeping him and getting both. He sitll is a stellar piece.

I do have my regrets with it, but I also feel that I may have saved myself from the greater picture. Especially since I am trying to cut down my collection. I do wish he was in my house, and oddly enough I regret selling him but I'm sure in a week I wont/ But in 2 years when Ray comes out I will

How is anyone displaying him so far? Just out in the open or custom shelves?

Don't remember where I saw it but someone stuck two Ikea Billy's together for their bigger pieces (two deep without the cardboard backing on the front shelf-if that makes sense). That probably wouldn't look bad if done well.

i built a custom area for ray and rex to be with each other. when i get rex ill really have a better idea where ray is going to tetris in. when i finally get mine in march/april ill post some pics. i think solidus and i are waiting the longest for him.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's take and experiences with the 3A Rex, in-hand and before-hand. Seems like a MGS fan's holy grail which I unfortunately don't think I could ever afford (never paid more than £300 on a single collectible! Wish that I could...). So I bought the Kotobukiya 1/100 MG Rex instead!

I have made a few additions recently, latest being Hot Toys - The Boss. While I can understand everyone's frustration with the headsculpt, its not as man-ish as you may think. Articulation is hindered in the suit but overall, I'm happy I bought it as a companion piece to the HT Naked Snake.

Also just finished Kotobukiya 1/100 Metal Gear REX, straight-built with panel lining!

My YAMATO 1/6 Meryl should be arriving tomorrow, I don't know to be happy or worried because I've seen pics of her and it aint pleasing! Oh well, I intend to repaint her anyways. At least make the hair to look more like The Twin Snakes.

Both look incredable! only thing I don't like is Liquids sleeves the 1 up and 1 down look strange. But still ill be getting these

The more and more I see the initial reveals for PAK figures, the more and more I'd rather have the grey proto paint apps than what they eventually come out with when finally colored.

Anywho, cool character's, but a bit too soon to have another Raiden before his Revengeance figure is released. They shoulda gone with Revolver and maybe Sniper Wolf this time.

Maybe it's a reference to it being cut off and used by Ocelot in the future!
