I still need to get one! They havent dropped down in price enough yet. And i dont know if i want the slim or the OG yet either

The slim is the better model overall- better grip, design, button placements, battery life, USB connectivity and weighs a lot less EXCEPT that the 1000 model has that sweet, sweet OLED display, which is vastly superior to the slim's LCD display. Still, I'd go with the slim since I had a 1000 model before and it was too heavy for long term use.

As for PSP games on the Vita, they look and perform better due to the upscaling & you can remap buttons to your liking so that means no more thumb wrestling yourself for the controls in MPO, you can now play it like a real game. That, along with MGS1, 2, and 3 are all on Vita, is enough reason for me to get one soon! MPO was truly the last great Metal Gear Solid game to me.

Being the ultimate MGS console is why i want it. That and the fact that i have like a hundred games from PS+ that ive just accumulated in the past years. I think ive got the majority of Vita games i would have bought!

I think the slim also uses a regular memory card too right? I just need that OLED screen. was hoping for a slim model that had it, but oh well.

Wait, I thought you already had a Vita.

I guess now that Kojima's gone, Konami is finally giving PO some much needed respect. I didn't like everything about the storyline, but I thought it was more relevant to overall canon compared to the PW.

In that case, I'm pretty sure you'll like it (as far as MGS storylines go). It still feels in line with the rest of the series and doesn't try to ineffectively break the mold by putting you in an alternate-universe that practically retcons every game in the series. If this was the last Big Boss game that discussed his rise to power, that would've been good enough.
