Episodic games are being abused way too much these days, in the wrong way.

You shouldn't be forced to buy a game in sections. FFVII remake is doing that, and I loathe it.

Yeah that's why I'm not buying Hitman till it's complete. FFVII makes even less sense given its nature

MGS3 was the start of the fan service nonsense, hence why it doesn't hold up as well as the previous two. Really loved the gameplay and music though. Story, not so much.

I get why people like it the most though, it's not like I'm saying it's bad or anything. Just dumbed down.

You guys didn't get the joke that most fans prefer MGS 3 because that's what they started with....and that it gets the most love due to that alone etc.

The Big Boss trilogy is the best of the bunch, though I wish MGSV starred the real Big Boss!

Man those actually look great, you can tell the animators loved the game, some slight differences but nothing bad imo.

I don't want a full game like that or anything, I don't need it, it's just cool to see how might look with updated graphics.

I feel like that's exactly where this is going. They will probably remake 3 and sell it for $60. There's noway they are making this accurate of cutscenes for a Pachinko and haven't looked at their friends at CAPCOM working on REmakes and basically printing cash.

Well, provided there are little not no design or audio changes, I could be down for that, for MGS1 and 2.

I guess I just don't really care for MGS3 all that much, but they'll probably start with that one.

I don't think it really suits the first few MGSes...kinda. It does look pretty nice, but something isn't right.

I think that's just the uncanny valley, it looks so real yet so fake that it makes you go "that's not right", at the end of the day a lot of Shinkawa does show in the model's aesthetic, so that's also probably another clash.

More and more CGI looks that way nowadays, but we actually can't see most of the CGI anyway, I think it's a matter of time before everything is completely indistinguishable from real life.

I'd play it out of curiosity, a good one.

On the other hand, MG1/2 are far more deserving of pachinko g-I mean remakes!

I much prefer the PS2 look. It gave it such character compared to washed out CGI. Plus, I hate the "canon" Big Boss face from V and this is a reversed engineered version of that.

The character models are too far away from the intentions of the original.
Plus they went full realism in terms of lighting and backgrounds.
It just looks like MGS3 made to look compatible with MGSV, which is very stupid.

Gaming graphics is a fine art. What worked in the 90s won't work with today's standards.
