So you didn't like The Sphere, The Thomas Crown Affair, Equilibrium, The Recruit, or Ultraviolet? He may not be the best writer, but directorally, these were all great movies. And I'm sure Hideo Kojima(HK) has his hand so far up Kurt that he could probably tickle his brain. I don't think that this will go out unless HK is absolutely satisfied.

As for Wimmer, except for Equilibrium which I thought was a great movie, I think the other ones you mentionned were really not that good... C'mon man Ultraviolet

That's why I said directorally, not the actual movie, i.e. storyline and plot or writing.. The movie looked sick. And anything with Milla gets my approval. And you didn't like any of his other movies, seriously? Ok.

If Kojima does have total control on the movie, expect it to be completely bizarre and make no sense whatsoever. He's got some great original ideas, but sometimes he goes a little too far out there.
I still hope it'll be good though.

I'd love for this movie to be a great flick and success since the game series is nothing short of a MASTERPIECE.

But it really has the odds against it...video game movies basically have a 100% failure rate.

Kojima and crew just have to make sure they can maintain as much control over it before the film studio screws it all up.

I actually prefer Christian Bale as Solid Snake....he has more of the look than Hugh Jackman in my opinion.

Wow, that's a great shot of Bale as Snake! If he could gain muscle like he did for Batman, he'd be the perfect casting choice.

I still think Josh Holloway is the best choice based on his voice and Looks.Christian bale doesnt have the right look imo,c`mon,look at him clean shaven,i dont see anything like Snake in him.

Jackman and Bana might work,but not as good as Holloway,anyone that watches Lost and knows how Holloway is as Sawyer determined wouldnt disagree with me.

Sphere was pretty damned good, The Recruit was good and I really liked Equilibrium, so I will be seeing this movie. I think HK will keep this from becoming a ++++ sandwich.

Yeah, but if someone put Josh H's face in that picture, I think it would fit better. He has a better face for Snake. And I think that Josh is more of a physical fit for Snake as well. Either way, both would kill as Snake.

If not, I'd rather see the role go to a discovered/unknown actor. Bale and Jackman have their signature niche characters, for either of them to be Snake would just be hogging it.

One thing differentiates MGS from the rest of the video game movies in the past. Hitman/etc. really don't have any real movie-like story to the games. The movies are originally written with the characters FROM those games. The MGS games flow like an actual movie, the games have structure and a real coherent story. THAT is why the movie version won't suck enormously.

My only caveat with Jackman or Bale is that they don't have David Hayter's voice. Man, that guy has the greatest voice on the planet.

PS: For Otacon, is only James Spader wasn't so old, he would have made a great one. Just watch him in Stargate and that's pretty much Otacon.

Here is a new one as i was watching rambo 4 this guy reminded me a lot of Michael Biehn (the guy who snake was based on in the very first place).

i have used high tex photo shop to show how he would look as snake



I think snake should be a less known actor rather than a name like bale, if not it i will see it as CRISTIAN BALE as SNAKE not SNAKE played by **** *****.
What do u guys thing his name is Matthew Marsden he has been in a few films?
