While exited to get to try the beta if it don't go up until Friday that will give me a short time to try it out cause when GTA4 comes out next Tuesday I will be joining my buddies to play it online and will have to wait for MGO in June.

Over time, hopefully it will be bigger. Right away? Sadly, not a chance. Then again, Metal Gear is pretty popular all over the world, while Halo, was more of an American thing than anything else IMO.

Metal gera is being arround for 20 years now.
is not KONAMI's fault that the hole world wants to play MGO.
Is better to have happend now.
Imagine if this was launch date. Then yes people should complain.

Halo is a good game I have played them all but compared to MGS NOT EVEN CLOSE !

Yeah, I'm not saying MGO will be better online than Halo,but that MGS4 will be a better game and outsell it too. Definitely not on the first day(Well, hopefully, I'm tired of the Halo nerds), but eventually this will be one of the all time high selling games.

As to MGO being on Konami's servers, it will probably stay on their servers. I just don't think that HK and Komani thought it would be this crazy in the US and EU. I know they calculated for the JP craze, just not anywhere else. I'm sure it will be fixed by the time the game comes out.

METAL GEAR ONLINE PREMIERE BETA players


We would like to thank all players for their keen interest in taking part in the beta test.
However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the European public beta test and start it once we stabilize our server.

We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances.
3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)

Naked snake is the code name that Snake (Big Boss) uses in MGS3.
Solid Snake Is the clone of Big Boss and he is the Snake you with in all the rest of MGS games.

If you preorder at the evil dictators store they will give you a DVD that recaps the characters history. It is pretty good at summing it all up.
