So, I went to Gamestop to try and pre-order the 80gb PS3/MGS4 bundle, and they said they won't do it, because it's "super limited" and they're doing a first come-first serve. I know there's going to be a Gunmetal Grey PS3 that will be limited but will the standard PS3 bundle still be limited??
I really don't go to Gamestop for info, cuz I find they're usually pretty retarded, in fact, I interrupted their conversation about Mortal Kombat vs. DC and they were talking about it like it was late-breaking news.
I don't know how it is around your parts, but I can't find any 80gb PS3s anywhere. I'd imagine they're all being stockpiled to be released in the bundles.

I have a few friends that work at Gamestop. Yes, they were told to pull all the 80GB so you will buy the MGS packages. No, you will not be able to PO either MGS package. And they are maybe doing some hardware upgrades to the 80GB unit as well.
The Grey Console will be super limited. They were saying cities in the Bay Area may only get a few hundred. DAMN!!!
And they no longer PO consoles because of the Wii fiasco, having to many POs without the ability to fulfill the requests. I'd go to the Sony Store, but I believe they are all pulled too and they only have 40GB consoles. Sony is getting as bad as M$ with this ^^^^. But if you check back in after June 1, they should have more info for you.

Yeah, I tried to order one, and told me the same thing. Then, they tried to sell me the so called "limited edition" tin. pleaze... with those, they'll end up making so many, like with the FF XII LE tins... they'll be on clearance 4 months later. Don't buy into Game Stops LE hype.
Just curious, Where did this grey console rumor come from? IS GS only getting them?

Gizmodo, CNET, Endgadget. I also heard the Sony Rep talking about it when I was in a GS afterhours with my old roommate, who is the manager, a month or 2 back. They also showed them the Kratos Slim-PSP, which looks sick! I don't think only GS is getting them, but I also haven't asked around at any other B&M stores, like BB or CC.
I do know that my local store is getting them, but even they don't know how many. They said they would know more after the 1st. I guess the Sony Rep is coming in again to talk about marketing MGS4.
If I get more info, I'll let everyone know.

Well, the other day one went for like $350 something shipped and a zombie went for like $340 shipped but just yesterday a zombie went for only $187. I was so pissed cause I just didn't have the cash for it. They seem to go high and low. I guess you just have to catch them when the time is right.

been trying to get that zombie snake for some time but have had no luck. last bid i put on one was $185, if the seller had higher feedback i would of went over 200, but instead i go 185 and get outbidded by $2 or so.

So close, was all excited driving home from work hoping that no one outbidded me, and then I check it out and see that $2 is what robbed me of a figure Ive been after for awhile.
Even worse is when I saw an auction for it at $100, it ended at.....$100 w/$10 shipping. I was all pissed cause I had no money after buying a bunch of things just a few days earlier.
