They are massively behind on production, which is terrible—but it's wrong to claim the products themselves are inferior. Batman and Dredd have both been very well-received and are definitely competitive with ThreeA 1/12, which is the only other widely-available series in this price range.

The problem is that they are not sticking to a line and completing it. They are going every which way: one figure for dredd, one for batman, one for Star Trek. Please do more figures in the same license so that you can build up a display.

I agree. It's like, no we don't have DKR superman for you.....but we have a terrific mr spock
Batman was hugely successful and they didn't scratch the surface of the well of possible figures they could do. I feel a bit let down for sure

I went to buy Batman and ended up also getting PX Dredd from a nearby store. Both great figures, but Batman is the winner as far as durability and fun factor go--I'm so pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and poseable it is. I'd actually never read TDKR so I bought a copy while I was out; I'm glad I did as the figure feels much more special now that I'm acquainted with the source material.

I've also decided I need more of these. If you're looking to sell or trade your MezEx, PX or black and white version, hit me up.

Some thoughts on the many exclusives and variants: having read the comic, I'm not so hot on the Mezco Exclusive or PRCC versions anymore, since they don't seem accurate to any part of the comic. Obviously I wouldn't turn my nose up at either, but I'd rather have my PX with the sniper and the retail with the pistol, to cover all the looks Batman has through TDKR.

Oh, right, the reason I posted here. Toyz In The Box has black and grey Batman for $75, with free shipping in the lower 48! Just picked mine up and thought I'd share the love.

Entertainment earth have finally charged my CC for my PX. Its either finally arrived or is a mistake...anybody else still waiting on these guys?

I checked my account and it still states backorder january 2016. nothing about arrived/processed/shipped.

I disagree. The Mezco Ex version is seen in pretty much all of book 3 and 4. Only in certain panels does he look like he's wearing a black cowl and cape. For the most part it's colored a dark blue.

And the PRCC version is also far more accurate than the PX version's light blue. Personally, I felt ripped off that the darker blue version was an expensive limited exclusive. That's the one that should have been available to everyone. It's how he looks in book one and two until the Mutant Leader shreds his uniform. The PX blue is just too bright. It might match what we are used to in other 80s Batman books, or the Super Powers figure, but it was definitely a dark blue in Dark Knight Returns.

edit: he has shipped. Better late than never. He has finally arrived at EE and is shipping out today.

You make good points but I'd argue that neither version is meaningfully accurate. The PRCC is the same shade as the MezEx, with a different symbol, whereas the Books 1 & 2 suit is noticeably lighter than the Books 3 & 4 suit. Compare the two below:

It doesn't match up to this:

It seems like none of the suits really nail the Books 1 & 2 colour. A good compromise might be the MezEx for the first suit, and the black and grey for the second.

Sorry; I misinterpreted your comment. I thought you shared my assumption that the first suit in the comics is lighter blue than the second one, which would make it inaccurate to say PRCC = first, light suit and MezEx = second, dark suit. My bad :)

I really have nothing to offer here except to say that I love the pic of all the figures together. I have all of them except the dark blue/yellow oval version and the black and white version. I hate to admit it, but if Hot Toys, Sideshow, Mezco, etc ever made a 1:6 scale version that was as awesome as these, I'd drop $300 for it. My wife would kill me, but it would be totally worth it.
