It would be cool, but we have enough Batmen in the market, we need other characters too, I bet they would nail an All-Star Superman or a pre-52 Shazam and Black Adam.

Options are unlimited when it comes to DC.

Somebody just asked on twitter if there was a chance for more Batman One:12 at SDCC and the reply was "I believe so." Not sure if that is more Batman himself or just more Returns characters.

I asked for a little clarification and they said "maybe a few more of the Mezco Exc." So looks like no new ones so soon. But if anyone missed the Exc and is going to SDCC good luck.

I just covered both of the exclusives last night - in the end, if I only bought one, it would have to be the Mezco Direct exclusive:

I got the Previews exclusive yesterday (my favorite of the available color schemes), and it really is a nifty little figure. I would actually rank the relative quality as higher than that of some SSC 1/6 scale figures. The light blue looks better in-hand than in the pics I've seen somehow. The articulation could be better, but it isn't bad, and it might be best to have some limits here, given potential damage to the suit if he were placed in poses that were too extreme. My other major niggle would probably be paintwork on the faces. They are OK, fine for the price point in fact, but they seem on par with mass produced 6" toys. One of my concerns based on pics online was the cape, but it was a lot better in-hand. I think one of the issues is that with most pics I've seen, people haven't futzed the capes to hide the edges where they are cut from the bolt. It looks a bit uneven, as you can see in the post above, but it's easy to hide this by folding the cape back, similar to some of the custom Dark Knight Hot Toys capes we've seen over the years.

A nice figure overall. I won't get going all out with this scale/line, but will likely pick up other characters that I have a particular interest in. I would particularly be interested in more classic Marvel and DC comic characters.

It's really hard to get the cape to overlap evenly covering the collar because the cape is sewn unevenly. This is one flaw they made because of the width of the massive shoulders .

You would have to do what Tony Mei did and completely discard the cape and replace it. I've yet to see anyone remove the cape from the collar and sewn it back evenly. I'm sure it's still possible but it's a bit of work :slap

Yeah, if Tony were to offer cape upgrades for the classic color scheme Batman, I would probably buy one, despite the fact that you can fold the cape to make the figure look better on display as-is. I don't have any issues with the suit, though.

how long does it take mezco to ship? waiting on a mez ex via the latest few they put up earlier last week. got a tracking number, been shipping label created now for 4 days.
:dunno

I'm waiting too but I'm not too worried. I know I have one coming and I didn't have to spend $150+ for it. :)

Unfortunately you got your hopes up like I did originally. That shipping label nonsense means squat.

Until you see actual " In Transit " movement on tracking it doesn't mean it shipped yet.

Mezco is in Long Island NY so depending where you live it could take up to 5 days because they ship the dreaded UPS ground which I can't stand.

I tried to see if they deliver USPS priority or FeD eX but they only have UPS ground :gah:

My UPS is horrible, doesn't deliver until late at night :pfft:

So I arranged it to be dropped off at my local UPS tomorrow so I can pick it up And before someone brings up that always doesn't work, I did the same with the reg B&G version. It was held at the UPS and I picked it up..no problems at all.

My UPS even called me that day it came in and told me they are holding it for pick up.

There is a trick, but all you have to do is sign up to be a UPS member online. It's easy and doesn't cost anything. Now you could pay for the premium membership, but it's not worth it. The free membership allows you enough options IMO

So I suggest if you really want to know what's going on with the tracking you should sign up.

Don't call Mezco, I did and they don't have any information or control over the UPS. All they said was to wait until you see movement on the tracking, that's all they can do :pfft:

I love the fact that I got all three versions. Which is something I never do with a Batman figure, get the same figure with different colors, last time I did was the old Kenner 89 Keaton line :lol

I have to admit I wasn't sure at first when I did order all three originally. I have to say now having two of them in hand I'm completely hooked:clap

I think I like the light blue the best right now because the Bats I grew up with was the iconic baby blue color. I was a huge Neal Adams styled fan growing up with Batman and absolutely worshipped Miller's version even though he was an older Batman.

I have a feeling like Crawford stated the dark blue will be my all time Mezco favorite bats. As much as I like the baby blue, I was mesmerized by Jim Lee 's Hush Batman and IMO this dark blue variant embodies the hush style in many ways even if it's modeled to be Miller's idea

Also glad you're a Guyver fan. Probably one of the most underrated anime IMO over the years.

Just for you, here's a model kit I did many years ago

It's about 12" and was completely vinyl. I painted and weathered it myself since it was an unassembled and unpainted model out of the box :wave

bbts couldn't replace my px bats. i don't want to give up this bad boy, they offered me $10 store credit to keep him with a hole in the arm of his suit?

Take the credit. Nothing more you could do. Sell it on ebay or on this forum at a reduced price if it bothers you so much. If I were you, I'd just paint the hole red or flesh for BD :wink1:

That sucks. I'm not sure what I'd do in your shoes. Sucks that you have to get a damaged one, and sucks to not get one, though. This figure is so great.
