MGS - Metal Gear Ray from 3A - 38 inch wingspan!

well, i could just do the mod for you at a fair cost. youd pay shipping though. also i was just looking at my pic i posted and the game case is just right next to him. he looks the same aside from no white in the eye. i think after seeing that im going to leave him and eventually just add the white whenever i get around to it.

yeah the yamatos need some serious tlc. theyre on the backburner to other possible projects. i was never gung-ho about getting those done for some reason. financials have been getting better so maybe this summer sometime. been looking at the peacewalker mechs and trying to figure out how to mod the cans to use an led. maybe theyre too small.also wanted to take one of the logan old snake sculpts and do a solid eye on one. also wanted to do the same for raiden rah, but hed have to have his eye wear on at all times with the helmet closed. meh..............

For the eye, yeah it's a fairly easy job but don't forget to add some clear gloss for that lifelike look, though I don't know if that will interfere with the LED.

My Yamatos are far from done, but once they are I hope they'll be as accurate as I can make them to be. If you need recommendations for the clothing, boots etc I think I can help.

The idea of modding those PW Mechs sounds AWESOME! Never thought about that!

thanks man, duly noted and much appreciated. clear gloss is no issue i was thinking more of a clear pearl white as a one shot deal that would be somewhat translucent. just have to look around. maybe ill go to the hobby shop today when or if it opens. (snow storm)

was thinking of finding a retail pupa to operate on and at least i could add the thrusters to my zeke if all else failed. the cool part ive found is the eye on the cans are clear resin so maybe i just have to get an led in there and either use a ridiculously small battery or run a wire out. but that looks terrible you will almost NEVER see wires in my work no matter what i do because they make me want to puke when i see them.

Stand is bit of an eyesore, but i dont mind it. Its practical, and having Rex ill take anything that can put me at ease knowing i dont need to find ways to make sure when i leave my room it doesnt do the splits.

I think the stand is great for it in amphibious mode though. Its not a display mode i considered doing, but i think it looks really good in reality so id probably try it out.

Where do 3A go from here with Metal Gears though? Is this basically the last Gear we will see?

you should put some rubber padding under the feet so they cant slide out.

MGS2 ties in with MGS1 as my favorite Metal Gear game, with a slight edge to MGS2 due to the game's complex themes and ambition. Sure, one could argue it's executed as elegantly as a newborn horse on roller skates, but Kojima could have easily give us a run of the mill squeal but gave us something special indeed. I think it's the Terminator 2 of videogames.

That title certainly goes to Peace Walker and then Twin Snakes but who knows Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pains are not out yet.

EDIT: Just finished that video.... it was awesome. I have seen a few videos trying to deconstruct and explain MGS2 but this one takes the cake.
