Does anyone know why this is being released almost two months late over in the UK? It's not out until the 17th October. That has to be down to legal issues or something?

The irony of that question

I’ve seen plenty of movies where a ton of things were changed, it seems to be happening with TASM2, it happened with the X-Men films, and they’re still good movies. I just separate the comics/cartoons from the movies, thats all.

That's why I have no hope for this film. The turtles are no longer the TMNT they are just some new superhero team to grab some of the superhero $$$$

at this point they have better luck growing up with the reboot of the cartoon on Nickelodeon.

I'm glad I grew up with the original of this and many other things. Original transformers , gi joe , ect... all these kids get just re washed reruns and reboots of everything every movie, every character.

It speaks lengths of the 90's cartoons the fact that even at an adult age, they're still compelling and exciting to watch, yet, most shows these days are borderline impossible to watch and constantly insult the intelligence of the viewers, of any age.

I can't honestly see them reshooting a massive chunk of the movie based on reviews of a teaser, this close to the films release. Whether we like the new designs or not they are what we are gonna get, playmates have made the toys and there's no doubt a ton of other merchandise with there new look on.
Plus hardly any transformers fans were happy with how bays first film was shaping up before the film released, yet bay did not change it.

It would have been great to get turtles that look how they always have, without the lips, noses and overly busy bodies (I mean Mikey with the necklace seems to have a plunging neckline) and I hoped bay would give us something like what I grew up with such as the still amazing Jim Henson turtles. But this is bay.

Wouldn't be the first time though. GI Joe did a bunch of reshoots to incorporate more Chugging Taintum. And as far as merchandise, it's not unheard of either. Look at how much ASM merchandise has the nicotine eyes.
