I do like the photoshopoed faces a bit more. I'm gonna go see this because I loved the cartoons as a kid. In regards to the TMNT movies I loved the first two and the cgi one was pretty cool. The one where they go back to ancient japan was pretty stupid.

Can we lay off the quoting of the same pick over and over? I had to edit one post that had the same pics quoted like 10 times. Also let's back off the .gifs some as well as those are getting a little nuts.

Is all the hate of this film coming from the design or do people actually hate where they're taking the story? This is a legitimate question, because the trailer seems to be getting torn to pieces everywhere, and we've barely seen anything.

I showed the trailer to my wife (who watched the turtles as a child too but not really big on movies) and her response was that she never remembered TMNT to be so action packed and like Transformers.

The turtles were An accident, that pushed forward and found greatness in themselves, becuase they were individuals and expierenced growth ( you know, the whole TEENAGER part of teenage mutant ninja turtles).

And this script, this story is set up ( much like the recent Amazing Spider-ham, or Hopeman) as if they were MENT FOR GREATNESS, and it's DIVINE DESTINY and other stupid hollwood lazyness.

I don't mind the concept of reimaging the turtles, even if the character designes for the turtles themselves looks like more overdesigned garbage ( to me).

The story, and the essence of what the characters are, SHOULD remain.

Instead, we get more DESTINY DESTINY DESTINY LAWL crap. Ugh.

My girl was thoroughly disgusted with it, and their design. She prefers the '90 version naturally.

Actually if anything the new Nick cartoon has brought new life to the turtles, I bet 70% of what makes this film a success is because of how popular the new show is. Not only is the show a hit but the toy line is number 1 in the world right now. The turtles came back in a big way and this film isn't going to hurt that. if anything, when it's all said and done this film will be a foot note compared to the new show. When people talk about this film 10 years from now it'll be followed by someone saying that the show that ran at the same time was 100 times better. If the film is good, that's great, but if it's not, it's not a big deal, turtles aren't going anywhere.

Yeah, that show is really good; I'm watching it right now. It does the original series justice. If anything, that's what they should have modeled the movie from.

I read the past few pages and I see the main complaint was the turtle's designs, I wanted to know if there were any other problems people had with it because I'm not reading 20 pages back. I'm guessing you just didn't get a chance to use the word oxymoronic today and had to do it as soon as the you thought the opportunity presented itself.

Honestly people are just kinda freaked out and they have a right to be. Transformers had a good first movie but all in all Micheal bay ruined what made the franchise great and the fans hated it. This trailer looks like its trying to change what doesnt need to be changed. The designs are far to busy and the tone is just like a TF movie. People are really just up in arms. The studios have no one else to blame but themselves. Hiring Micheal bay, making that stupid *** remark about aliens,giving the turtels clothes, whitewashing important characters. Its got people edgy and I dont blame them. If you were a kid in the 80s and 90s tmnt was life and a HUGE part of your childhood. Nobody wants to see that tarnished again and it looks like this movie is heading in that direction. Im still keeping an open mind but right now its hard to be hype about this.
